I would buy these again and again. 5We took first place !!!!Things have come a long since my original pinewood derby over 50 years ago - Based on advice from a seasoned vet we took a chance and lo and behold these made all the difference - We took first place !!!! 5High QualityThese wheels run smooth when combined with either the polished or polished & graphite costed axles I purchased both types of axles. A simple test hold the axle/nail with your finger and spin the wheel; the standard axles and wheels are rough and vibrate you can clearly feel the difference. Yet to race, will update. Very happy with the products I purchased 5For the price they are great quality wheelsSave time and get these. For the price they are great quality wheels. When the competition is fierce you need to step your game. These won't win you the trophy alone. I'll say the wheels were fine for the pack meeting and I'm satisfied, but during the district check in. My son's car was dis-qualified for the diameter being too small on these wheels that were purchased. 1.180 was there limit. I measured them and that is exactly what these wheels are. So Black Creek District is WRONG on this one, but I wanted people to know that this happened. THIS is my update to the post. I measured these wheels myself and they were fine. So I am giving them a 5 star rating. 5Didn't improve timeSo the set of 4 stock BSA wheels weighed 11 grams, these wheels weighed 9 grams.Ran 8 runs with the plan wheels and had an average time of 3.693 seconds on a 48ft track.Switched to these wheels and ran 8 runs to get the graphite worked in and then another 8. Also added 2 grams to the car to make the weight the same. New time was 3.738 seconds.So not worth the money when all it did was slow the car down, not sure why. Plan on trying them on another car and see what results we get. 1Work greatFinished within .03 seconds of winner. 5Appear well finished but not all that good.I've had some time to work with these wheels and I am not impressed. On the surface they appear nice but once they get mounted and checked out they are not finished smoothly on the tread surface nor are the interior of the hubs properly polished for a smooth wobble free rotation. The axles they went on are highly polished and are near perfect and oversized so the rough spinning is not the fault of the axles. For the price these need to have a little more attention paid to the running parts. I won't buy these again. There are others that are better. 2Great wheels and must have for any pinewood derby buildI went round and round about buying these. last year another cub scout had them on his car took 1st place. Though they are kinda costly for wheels I bought them and can say it was a good buy. This year we had way more competitors than last and could tell a few other cubscouts also shopped for wheels. We ended taking 2nd place and very happy with the speed for the car, plus we beat out last years winner!We used these wheels and the pro super speed graphite coated axles.By the last run the graphite was wearing off the wheels but we rolled on.I was also pleased these meet official BSA requirements, two cars where disqualified for lightened wheels. 5
