This is a genuine Iron Nickel Nantan meteorite lot of 6.  The total weight of these meteorites is 88.2 grams.  The meteorites weigh 16.4 grams, 14.1 grams, 15.8 grams, 12.8 grams, 17.9 grams, and 15.6 grams.   Included with the meteorite is a nice color information card and a certificate of authenticity.Nantans contain a trace amount of chlorine which causes them to oxidize more quickly than other meteorites.  That's what gives them their unique and beautiful brownish-red color.    Due to this fact, we do not recommend cutting and polishing these pieces.   They need to be protected at least once a year by soaking them in mineral oil.  This is a great gift for meteorite collectors!  We have a variety of meteorites available so be sure to check out our other items!
