    Drains batteries in less than 20 minutesThis is a cool project. It doesn t take long to build. They float and move just fine. I bought 2 kits for my daughters. In both cases, the batteries (4 AAA, not included) only lasted about 15 minutes. They got a little warm discharging so fast too. In order to give this more than 2 stars, it would need to include a rechargeable system, even if it had to cost more. 2Not very good instructions. Not a good seal between craft and ...Very hard to put together. Not very good instructions. Not a good seal between craft and cellophane. Fun to play with once you get it right 4Great to send.Got this for a great nephew. Looks like fun. Easy to send. Came on time. 5Fun stem projectBought this to go with my daughters science presentation. It was fairly easy to assemble. Just be sure to read the instructions closely.Worked as expected and kids had fun sending it across the hard wood floor.Didn't hold up too long as one of the kids dropped it and the fan broke. 5Interesting projectThis is a decent hobby project. I completed it with my 8-year-old Autistic child. He would not have been able to complete it on his own, but it was an interesting project for us to do together. He was fascinated by the way it floats/hovers and moves forward. There are no remote controls, and it isn't waterproof. It will travel over most flat surfaces, the smoother the surface, the better. This project requires greater attention to detail than several of the other 4M projects we have completed in the past. It is also more tedious, which is why I didn't rate it higher.Be careful when cutting the transparent plastic, and be careful when placing the baseboard on the transparent plastic. The transparent plastic is the inflatable portion. The project requires four (4) AAA 1.5 volt batteries to operate. When operating it, the propeller spins with enough torque to inflict pain or injury, so care and adult supervision is required during operation. 3All around great!Gave as a gift. Was well received. Best used on hardwood floors, sealed smooth cement or tiled floor. The mire space the better. Remember, it is not RC so there is no way to control the direction of the craft. The first thing to breach is the inflating skirt. My son made this whennyoung, I think 5 ish. We gifted one to an 11 yr old. I am ancient and like it, therefore it can be put together by a wide span of ages, and actually enjoyed by even younger people than 5! Oh, and I imagine cats would REALLY like it as well as dogs... but it would not last long at all :) 5Great for an 8 year oldReally great. My 8 year old daughter wanted to explore hover crafts after watching season 2 of Annedroids. This project was great. Took 90 minutes and she did most of it herself. Was great for exploring how hovering works. 5Fun Project / Very Short Battery Life in PlayMy kids (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed the assembly aspect of this item but were disappointed in the very short battery life when using as a toy. We went through four AAA batteries in less than ten minutes on our first run and I assumed the batteries were old. When replaced with new batteries, the toy had the same short run time on round two. 2Didn't work well, not easy to buildInstructions are not well written for any of these brand robots, but my son loves them so I have bought a few. This one was particularly discouraging and we never got it fully functioning. The motor was running but the hoover craft never floated or moved anywhere. We tried rewiring and troubleshooting but no luck. The plastic pillow was difficult to attach without wrinkles and unable to fix easily. 3Two StarsGreat idea and worked but quickly broke as it is cheaply made. 2
