Recommended for ages 8 years and older. Breyer stunning sculpture celebrates the legend and brings another artistic portrayal to life.
    • True Equestrian art: Breyer models begin as beautiful horse sculptures created by leading equine artists that are then cast into a copper and steel mold. Each model is created one at a time from the original mold, which is injected with a special resin selected by Breyer for its ability to capture the depth of detail, delicate feel and richness of color in our models.
    • Hand crafted detail: The world's 'most asked for' Horses since 1950. Each individual Breyer model is prepped and finished by hand and then turned over to the painting department for hand painting and detailing.     Beautiful representation of Harley.It s beautiful and realistic model of Harley. I bought it for myself. I did see Harley on TV at The Kentucky Derby. 5So Beautiful!The mare Cascade is based on the Connemara pony mold. She is gorgeous, with a beautiful blue color and glittery mane. Caspian is from the old Sea Star mold that came out in the 80s. He is not as nice looking as the mare since he is a vintage mold. However I am pleased with them. 5Breyer Never DisappointsBeautiful Breyer. Wonderful craftsmanship as always! I expect a lot from Breyer Reeves, and am never disappointed!Keep in mind if you are looking for a toy for a child look elsewhere, Breyer Horses are models, and are not meant to by played with. They scratch easily, and are made out of a material that easily snaps or cracks. I recommend that you do not give a breyer to a child under 12, since a child that is any younger would damage the product during play!Breyer is a great company, and Secretariat is a great model and racehorse! I absolutely love it! It came in perfect condition. I have collected Breyer for a long time and mythical creature figures recently, and this unicorn goes great with both collections. He is much more realistic than so many unicorn toys out there.Regarding the actual item, the pictures do not do it justice. In broad light the unicorn looks just white - but put him in direct light and his hair sparkles like magic and his body shines with lavender color. The realism and detail on this model is astonishing, just like all of Breyer's models. Also, it's easier to distinguish him as the mythical creature he is, unlike many of Breyer's previous unicorns; so if you're looking for a Breyer unicorn, I highly recommend this one.This is definitely a must-have for any Breyer or fantasy collector. I got this at Christmas time, so naturally it would be selling as gifts - however, I have seen this item sell much faster than any other items I have looked at. At one point Amazon had plenty in stock and it sold out in less than a day! So if you want this horse, you had better snatch it up the first chance you get, for it's very popular and hard to find for a good price.I have posted a couple of pictures, though they do not show the color as brilliantly. You have to see the item in person to really appreciate it. 5Very beautiful horse, albeit expensive & this one can't stand on its OWN!!My daughter loves these Breyer horses. Thank you for a great model horse! 5Great model of Big RedThis is one of the most beautiful Breyer horses I have seen. It would be nice if Secretariat had his own mold. He was such a special horse. But his mold does suit him very well. He is a little darker and redder than shown in the picture with UNBELIEVEABLE shading and AMAZINGLY realistic eyes. It is hard to find a Breyer horse as well done as he is. He is a traditional size and a very accurate one as well, sort of large for a traditional, especially for one in a gallop, but not as big as Zenyatta, who is also very much to scale. It is really nice how Breyer makes models so much to scale. Secretariat was considered pretty large for a racehorse and Zenyatta is considered HUGE. he looks very large next to my classics. The "racetrack" he is on really looks real. It actually looks slightly wet and like he is actually racing on it, not just standing on it. The stand is permanently attached, but he needs it to stand, plus it makes the whole model look a little more realistic, however not the best choice for playing with. Unfortunately he is very easily scratched and I was really sad when he got a scratch, because he is so AMAZINGLY shaded he would make a fantastic show model. You have to be very gentle (no action figures on Secretariat little brothers). He is also a very good price. Overall he is a BEAUTIFUL horse and I highly recomend him. 5Great model!Gorgeous model. Coloring and dappled are nice. Love the mold. The only thing that I don't like is that it seems like breyer makes draft models in a more vulnerable pose so that they could tip over. But he hasn't fallen yet. I wish they didn't pose them like that. It's more of a nervous thing for me. 5California Chrome is a Welcome Addition to the Breyer CatalogThe Breyer California Chrome model is a beautiful representation of the beloved racehorse. The markings are accurate and I love the way his muscles are accentuated with shadows and highlights. He comes packaged in a display box bearing his photographs and some fun facts and quotes about him. My only complaint is that Breyer reuses sculpts instead of creating a new one for each horse, but this probably keeps the price reasonable. 5
