    Challenging puzzleThis is the third 2000 piece Buffalo Games puzzle my wife and I have completed (Route 66, Times Square) and it was the hardest of the three. Buffalo Square puzzles are reasonable quality. Some reviews stated poor image resolution, but for me the resolution is what I would expect. I took away one star because as others have noted there is a lot of similarity in the shape of the pieces. Several times while working this puzzle we got stuck only to find out we had the wrong piece in place. It was worse with this puzzle due to the amount of monochromatic sections. 4but had a great time finding and matching pieces togetherBought this for my coworkers for Christmas. Everyone was daunted by the size of the puzzle at first, but had a great time finding and matching pieces together. Finished it in two weeks, and everyone is talking about the next puzzle they'd like to do. 5Amazing, difficult, great quality -- but missing piecesThis is the hardest puzzle I've ever done. It took forever. It was so satisfying and I absolutely loved doing it. BUT, at the very end, it turns out that there were four missing pieces. See pictures with grey granite showing through. It's a gorgeous picture and really difficult with so many shades of blue. Many pieces are cut so similar that you get tricked, and I love that challenge. I loved doing it but what a bad ending to that entire month of puzzling. I was considering getting another 2000 piece one from them but now I'm not sure I will. 3Beautiful, challenging.....and be ready for great detail!! Loved it!Just finished this puzzle and had to write a review on it. It has been almost 30 years since I did a puzzle, and just fell in love with the picture when I saw it, that I had to order it. I just finished reading the other reviews.....hadn't read them before I purchased this....but don't think it would of kept me from ordering it. The pieces do fall apart if you complete a section and then try to lift it up and set it in the puzzle. And the individual pieces do end up being able to fit sever places, which makes it an amazing challenge on areas of water, sky, rock...etc ...that cover a lot of pieces. This makes it an exceptional challenge. If you want a challenge....this is the puzzle. I had just had my kidney removed after it was in failure. As I recovered, in the last few weeks, I opened the puzzle to give me something to help pass the time, sitting at home landlocked. TV had bored me to death finally....so I began this puzzle. It is now a month and a half later....and I just finished it. Of course because of not feeling well a lot of the time, I had to just work at 15 to 30 min intervals, so don't think everyone would take that long. I wasn't that aware of the picture being blurry. I noticed that the shift to the pieces fitting what I thought the next piece should look like was a lot of times a surprise. Because of the immense details in the picture, the pieces brought out details you can't see on the box. Like there are three people sitting on the bench in the boat area. You can see amazing details missed on the box because the size of this puzzle is huge. I had to use strong storage tape, and tape heavy cardboard pieces together and cover it with self adhesive shelf paper to create the large surface I needed to work on. Then I could lift it easily and turn it around (I live in a small two bedroom condo) to work on the different sides. Love the puzzle, even with the great challenges. Would still recommend it to anyone who like something that isn't fast and simple. And love detail and a challenge. If I got frustrated.....I stopped and always would return and find the piece faster the next day when I returned.Like one other person mentions. A couple of times I had to tear out a section of about 7-8 pieces because some pieces fit in other spots perfectly, but don't belong there. If you look closely make sure every piece matches corners perfectly with not even a tiny flaw or hair of a space. Turn it over and looking at the back makes it easier. Because when I had to tear out a section and find the culprit piece that was messing all the other up....it was because of the slightest off fit, and I was amazed at how hard it was to have noticed the first time I set the piece in.I have decided to use puzzle saver, then mat it and frame it....because the picture is so beautiful! Everyone I have shown it to, is so impressed with the color and beauty of it. And I agree with them, no regrets to the difficulty of putting it together and time it took. 5Puzzle image is poor qualityThe image in the product thumbnail and on the box is stunning, crisp and vibrant. The puzzle itself is not. It's like the image used on the box was blown up for the puzzle, and the image on the pieces is pixelated and blurry. I'm very disappointed and I won't be buying any more Buffalo Games puzzles. Ravensburger is not much more expensive and the quality is infinitely better.For reference, I complete a jigsaw puzzle every 1-2 weeks, mostly 2000+ pieces. This is the only puzzle I've ever given up on midway through. 1Beautiful Image, High Quality Puzzle, and... 2 missing pieces :(The puzzle itself is great. High quality, bright colors, and beautiful image. However, it was very frustrating and disappointing to spend so much time on putting it together only to realize that it is not complete. Two pieces were missing at the end. We first thought may be we misplaced the pieces, but after coming across an amazon review on the same puzzle we found out that we are not the only ones who purchased this puzzle with missing pieces. If it wasn't for the missing pieces, we would've given this puzzle 5 stars.It is a challenging puzzle and comes with 2000 pieces. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on it. 3Great photo but uniqueness of the pieces is very poor. Had to build the puzzle face down to get the pieces in correctly.Great picture but the puzzle cut is very poor. The uniqueness of the cuts are very limited so pieces end up fitting into multiple places. I like a challenge but this goes above and beyond that. within the purple color of the sky I had one piece that fit into 5 different spots and looked like a perfect match, until you tried to build around it. Great picture again but just surprised at the cut. Not the norm for Buffalo puzzles. 2So far, my favorite brand.Gotta admit, I love Buffalo Games puzzles. Too bad they don't have more selection in the 2000 piece size.The puzzle is challenging, but i didn't have the same problem that others did with pieces fitting in the wrong spots - I did have that problem with both 1500 piece puzzles from Mega Puzzles (walmart) - now those were frustrating and pissed me off with the shapes and poor piece fit.This puzzle fit together loosely enough to make the right pieces fall in easily and tightly enough that the wrong pieces didn't fit quite right.Love the challenge of the colors. It took me about a week to do - but I was sick for three days of it and couldn't focus on anything harder than a jigsaw puzzle and whatever was on tv.I have a drafting/craft table with light that I use for jigsaw puzzles, so that helped a lot. 5Put down Candy Crush and get your puzzle on!I hadn't worked on a large puzzle since I was a kid. I thought this would be a good family activity and it did end up being a good distraction from electronics and providing hours of entertainment. We have a pool table that is hardly ever used which turned out to be a great puzzle assembly space. I think it would be tough to put this together on anything much smaller. The puzzle was challenging, but not too frustrating. Anytime we really got stuck, we'd audit our work and almost always find a piece in the wrong place. It took us almost a month to complete at a very leisurely pace. The scene is beautiful, and I would definitely recommend this puzzle to anyone. 5Puzzle did not have good resolutionThe picture is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the puzzle is not as nice as the picture. The image did not hold its resolution when enlarged for printing. This made the puzzle out of focus, which led to weird colors and contrast. How hard can it be to keep the resolution? It was really a shame. The puzzle still turned out okay, and it looks nice when viewed from afar. It was really difficult to get over the blurry quality during assembly, and it made the puzzle unnecessarily more complicated. Stick with Ravensburger puzzles instead. 3
