    They love it!Purchased a trumpet for each of my 2 grandsons. They love it!! Their parents aren't keen on the "music" though . . . HA! This is a durable kids' trumpet. My two little guys, ages 6 and 7, are often too rough with their toys and sometimes destroy them. These 2 durable trumpets have withstood a 3-month-test-of-time . . . they are still in tact and the boys still enjoy "playing" them. I would recommend this product. 5Great for a 4yo!My 4yo received this for Christmas and he loves it! It looks somewhat real (at least in photos) and is easy to play. It comes with a few pieces of music (on the outside of the package). It's very lightweight and made of plastic. It's easy for him to play and isn't too big or too small. He has no interest in learning the actual music, so not sure how easy it is for a 4yo to pick up on, but it looks like it would be easy. It's not too loud and doesn't echo in your head. The only way I can describe the sounds is that they are a light horn sound. 5My child loved itI bought this as a present for my 3 yr old because she had seen a cartoon about trumpets so she had been asking me for one. When she opened it she was ecstatic. It doesn't sound like a real trumpet at all but it makes some sound when you blow and push the buttons and that's all kids at this age care about. Also, you have to blow kind of hard for any sound to come out. It is made of plastic so don't expect it to last very long but not bad for the price. My 2 yr old also likes to carry it around. 5OK, but not of great qualityI purchased this as a gift for a 3 year old boy. It has 4 valves (unlike a real trumpet, which has 3) but that is OK. A child that age doesn't know the difference. It is a little difficult to blow for a small child as it takes a fair amount of wind. My real complaint is that the first valve seems to be defective and does not play properly. It seems as though the reed in that valve is defective in some way. Other than that flawed valve, all else is well. 3Wonderfully entertaining for my kids, should have gotten earplugs for myselfI bought this play trumpet for my kids because they're obsessed with the marching band episode of Bubble Guppies. First off, you can blow into this thing until you're blue in the face, but it won't make sound unless you're pressing a key. Second, it will not survive being chewed on by a Great Dane. So once the second one got here, we started to enjoy it. It plays four notes, enough to play a deliciously off key version of Taps. The kids figured out the trumpet pretty quick, and they're thoroughly enjoying driving me bonkers with it. 5Still popular 9 months after Christmas!My 7 year old son received this as a gift at Christmas and not only does he still play with it almost every day, he has figured out how to play various tunes on it such as "Taps." My 11 yo daughter likes to play with it as well, as do ALL of my son's friends who come over to play. It's a very durable toy as I cannot tell you how many times it's been dropped accidentally. Very very pleased with this trumpet! 5It does break easily so you just have to be a little on ...My son loves this trumpet. It looks very realistic although it is made out of plastic. The sound is not very loud so I thought that was perfect for us since I want my toddler to be able to play with reasonable sound. 5This is about the only one I could find that looked like it would be worth the investmentA Christmas hit!! My son asked for a toy trumpet for Christmas. This is about the only one I could find that looked like it would be worth the investment. Other trumpets I considered said they had kazoo sounds and seemed smaller than a real trumpet would be, more of a party toy. This trumpet is good actual size and though it does not require the effort of a real trumpet, basically plays like a real trumpet would. It IS a pretty cheap plastic material that probably won't hold up all that long, but it's light to hold, easy to play, and the sound is great. (One review said it was loud and annoying like most noise toys can get, but unless my child sounds it off right into my ear, it's really not that loud or annoying or even really very noticeable. It's a pleasant enough noise toy. It sounds more like a piano toy or a harmonica. It's not grating or tinny. It's nice.)My child loves it, and I'm very pleased with it.(The price is a little high ... I think I paid $13.99 on sale. I'd price it tops at $10.) 5This trumpet "blows"We assumed it wouldn't have a good actual trumpet sound considering it's a cheap toy. BUT this is really poorly made. The first key barely works when taken right out of the box. You have to blow REALLY hard to get any sound. The three year old we bought it for cannot blow enough air in at the same time as pressing keys down to be able to make any noise. Thankfully she doesn't know what it's supposed to do, so she just makes her own trumpet noises while pressing keys instead of trying to blow. 1My two year old loves this!This holiday season, my 2 year old was obsessed with trumpets after hearing a Salvation Army bell ringer playing his instrument. I found this on amazon and decided to go ahead and purchase it even though it seemed a bit too old for my kid. When he opened the trumpet at Christmas, he played with it for hours! It took a few tries and lots of flying spittle but he finally got the hang of it! We are not a musically talented family but maybe he will change that someday! Also, it's been two months and the toy has held up well! 5
