    Makes great picturesI like the metallic pencils ...the results are some really muted colors ... and the lead doesn't break as easily as some other colored pencils. I've even "layered" them over other colors for another completely different effect and giving me an untold number of additional colors. 5These are great for both kids just starting out and expert artistYou can never go wrong with crayola colored pencils! These metallic pencils are smooth and vibrant and have a bit of shine mixed in that leaves your pages of adult coloring books looking more glamorous. These are great for both kids just starting out and expert artist. They are easy to sharpen and have had no issues with doing so. Personally use these in adult coloring books and love them and would buy them many times over as gifts. 5I LOVE these colorsI LOVE these colors! I only wish they weren't so expensive and came with more than eight colors. I've recently gotten into coloring and love to use metallic colors. The downside is that these colors don't exactly go great together and there isn't enough variety to only use the eight colors in a single drawing. It actually looks pretty bad when meshing the colors alone. I think they're more meant to be used as accent colors or in certain types of coloring. 5Metallic Perfection!I love the Crayola Metallic FX Colored Pencils! I joined up with the Adult Coloring trend and bought some books around Christmas. Some of the pictures I want to color have items that would look better if they had a metallic glow to the items and so I ordered these. They work great! Exactly what I was looking for! 5Level of quality you would expect from CrayolaI consider these fun to play with, but the colors are rather muted. Good choice for school-age kids who like to draw and for tween to adult coloring books. Could give a little added interest to fairy wings, mermaid scales, and dragon wings or scales. I am in search of the perfect metallic color pencils, but have not found them yet. They might not exist. Anyway, if you like other crayola products, you will probably like these. You might also consider ALEX Toys Artist Studio 12 Metallic Pencils, which at the moment cost less on Amazon, plus have four additional colors. Each brand has slightly different versions of each metallic color, so imagine the shading you could do with two brands of metallic pencils! 4Beautiful Array Of ColorsI purchased this set of Crayola Metallic pencils as an addition to my Crayola 120 count set. The Crayola 100 and 120 count does not include the silver and gold or any of these metallic colors in this set. I like the additional metallics such as the copper and purple as well. I did have some difficulty getting them to blend well but fortunately Jenna Turin put up a new video on you tube that demonstrates a technique to get good results with the metallic pencils .As always, I am never disappointed with Crayola. They perform well in laying down pigment and blend well. The price point of Crayola items such as these along with their watercolor pencils and markers makes art available to many . I own other brands but still love and use Crayola. Just look on YouTube for videos for great techniques to get great results with Crayola products. Except for professionals that require lightfastness for the pieces they sell , many of us don t need to spend big bucks for our art projects that give us many hours of enjoyment. 5Great product and nice color assortmentGreat color selection and perfect application on paper; not too soft a lead and not too hard. Metallic is more subtle on white/bisque paper found in most coloring books. But metallic appearance is quite prominent on black paper. I'll purchase these again when I use these up. (Metallic colors used in the treasure box) 5Crayola Metallic Colored PencilsWhew.... so happy that there were no problems w/ shipping the product. All pencils were in one piece, w/ no pigment breakage. Speaking of which, when testing the pencils' colors? Like Butter! =O The colors easily transfer to paper w/ minimal pressure; I don't have to press very hard to get color. Also glad to get all main metallics: Silver, Gold, Copper, & Bronze. The pic I took may be a little darker, but the [pencil] colors (on the left) are slightly duller than 90's gen. metallic pencils (oh well). The extra colors [on the right], are their crayon counterparts. 4Love these pencilsLove these pencils. I do wish they were BRIGHTER but otherwise they are perfect they sharpen well and color smoothly which is exactly what I was hoping for!!! 5Pencil had a gouge in itOne of my pencils came with a gouge in it. Maybe it's because it's made of "deforested wood" not sure. Shouldn't be a problem until I have to sharpen it at that part then I might just need to sharpen more to get over it. 4
