Great Product for the valueI rarely review an item, however the reviews on this product are so contrasting I wanted to possibly settle the debacle. I am a young professional and work in a cubicle. I bought it for my desk, and it is exactly what I was looking for. REMEMBER this is a $7 product, in which you receive a hoop, 2 balls, and a pump... the deal alone is incredible. Yes it's not NBA quality by any means, but the reviews that are blasting it for quality aren't fair... this is an incredibly fun little toy for an OFFICE. Like some of the other reviews suggest, I did cut off the suction cups to mount it on my Flipper Doors above my work-surface, and I used a dab of superglue at the rim so it was sturdy (it folds flat for packaging and transport) obviously I don't need it transported any further so I permanently fixed it in place. I am quite pleased with it and hope this review can clear up the confusion between the contrast in reviews. 5Surprisingly awesome?I am finding myself writing a lengthy, glowing review of a product currently listed as "Toilet Basketball"...While I can imagine this would provide minutes of toilet-fun if used in that way, I've got it stuck to the window in my office instead. I was too lazy to do any of the installation recommendations (wiping the surface with alcohol swab, moistening the suction cups, etc), and instead just slapped it on the window, and it's stuck amazingly well even with a visiting child throwing the included basketball at it for 2 hours. If you're trying to stick it to a wall, it probably won't stick as well - in that case, I'd probably just take the suction cups off and use some command strips instead.The mini basketballs included are nice and bouncy, inflated easily with the included pump, and are properly sized for the hoop so you stand a chance of a swish every now and then. They're suuuuper neon orange, which is kind of weird but is helpful in locating them when you miss and they go flying off somewhere, so there's that. Despite the "Slam Dunk" written on the backboard, I really wouldn't try to dunk on this thing - it's a plastic flip-up rim so I'm sure it'd break easily that way.Overall, I can attest that it 1) sticks well to windows, 2) holds up to light use, and 3) is fun. 5Great little toy for the priceI bought this for my office as a fun little toy, and it has provided lots of entertainment value. We rigged up a whiteboard in someone's cube and attached the goal to that and it stays firmly attached with no issues despite getting a lot of use. I've gotten way more entertainment value than I would have thought. 5Nice little basketball setExactly what I expected for the price. Seems to be fairly sturdy, standing up to my 16 month old pulling on the rim and net some. The suction cups have worked great on glass for us. Similar to the other reviewer, I noticed the 2 balls that come with it were slightly different sizes, but not a big deal to me. Comes with a pump to air the balls up. Took a couple weeks to show up since it came from China. 5Incredibly awesome, but suction cups hurt it.I really like this thing. it is bigger then I was thinking for some reason. It came very nicely packaged, too. It even comes with another resealable bag so you can take it anywhere you go. The pump comes apart and you can put the thin part that goes into the balls right on the pump handle. The balls are smaller and very soft, easy to pump up and don't lose air unless you put the other thing in and force them to lose air so you can pack it up. The basket itself is sturdy and looks great. My biggest issue is these suction cups. They don't really stick to anything. We tried the closet door, the wall, a different wall... it won't stick. It only sticks to the mirror in my room but that isn't what I want. I really wish these had something other then these suction cups. They never work right even if you clean the surface really well. 3Doesn't stickI got this as a gift for a coworker. One of the suction cups WILL NOT STICK to glass. Total waste and embarrassing for me to have given this as a gift. 1Works for my classroom...I actually bought this to play a game with my class for reviewing. THE CLASS LOVES IT! The suction cups stick great to my smart board... ordering a second one as one of my boys got a bit over-enthusiastic and broke the net off trying to slam dunk it... but hey, for $7 I am not going to complain... just getting another one (I do have glue on the first one...maybe that will work...we will see -- but second one won't hurt to have). Sticks great to a nice smooth surface...a wall with texture might be harder to stick to. 5Compact and works wellBought this for my 6 and 8 year old. They suctioned it to their mirror and toss at it all the time. It has held up so far. The rim has not drooped as other ones we ve tried. The balls come with a pump and seldom need reinflation. Nice and compact. Works great for the money. 5My grandson loves itHe is only two and I can put it down where he can reach it. My older kids then put it higher. However, they are stronger and so the force of the balls do make the suction cups weaker and I have to keep getting it wet to restick. So, for older kids it is okay, but not the best. But, for my grandson who is younger, it is perfect. 5Great product for the price!Bought this over 2 months ago for my office cubicle and still going strong. Along with the hoop, it came with two mini plastic balls and a pump with needle just as described. The hoop sticks really well on glass without doing anything to the suction cups. However, to those who want to use other smooth surfaces then I suggest to follow the steps in the product description.Most of the low review scores are due to the suction cups, but for a $6 product (at the time of purchase) what more can you expect? The lifespan for this hoop will be very long as long as you don't attempt to dunk on it of course. Great product overall! 5
