    Poor sewing, not gift-worthyAfter reading reviews I was excited to give this item as a baptism gift for a 6 month old. When the item arrived I found the sewing quality of the ark to be so off that I had to return it. I couldn't receive a replacement in time so I don't know if all quality is this off or if it's just the one I received. The picture shows how the lid does not line up (lid was sewn off center) and the bottom is pushed in (if I pushed the bottom out how it should be the words stitched weren't straight). I couldn't get past the ark to even check out the animals. Based on my ark I don't recommend this product. 1Better than expected -- GRRRREAT gift.When my 1st son was born (42 years ago today), my mother-in-law handmade a Noah's Ark pillow with 3 pockets containing a lion, giraffe, and elephant. All through his growing years, the lion was his favorite and he held it every night when he went to sleep. (I wonder if that is why we eventually got a REAL lion when he was 19.)When my granddaughter became pregnant, I looked for something similar and found this at Amazon.It is better than I expected and so I ordered 2 more to keep on hand when I need more baby gifts. 5Perfect Baptism GiftThis was the best Baptism present I have found yet. I bought these for my niece when she was baptized and she loves them. All of the animals fit perfectly in the ark and my niece loves to play with them. If your looking for something to get a young child for a Baptism gift I think you ve found the perfect gift. 5Very cute but could be betterWe had something similar years ago for our own children and the door opened... Interestingly, when I gave it to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, first thing,...she tried to open the door and told me it was broken... the animals are silky soft and adorable and the cat sounds just like a cat. The dog does not even remotely sound like a dog! disappointed about that... IF that is the way he sounds then so be it...BUT if he is defective then I guess I need to alert someone??? I would only need the dog...not the entire set replaced and do not know if that is possible... 4I was looking for something a little different that I thought he might enjoy. These animals are very sweetI bought this as a first birthday gift for my son. I was really excited for this as he is a third child and we already have a lot of toys. I was looking for something a little different that I thought he might enjoy. These animals are very sweet. They are soft, built well and fit in the house nicely. He loves taking them in and out of the house and smiles and laughs when they make noise. The bird has a squeaker in it, the rabbit rattles, and the the dog and cat have a noise box in them that you squeeze and they either meow or bark. He is not strong enough yet to squeeze the noise box and have it make sound, but loves it when someone else odes it for him. The My First Pet set is very popular with my three year old girl as well. She has basically commandeered the toy from her brother. She loves carrying them around and playing with them, they come everywhere with us. 5Excellent GOODNIGHT MOON CHARACTERS! Love SMALL carry case. Great for travel(Wildlife artist ) KEYCHAIN GORILLA looks great with these 4 LITTLE BABES! These form the characters in our book, GOODNIGHT GORILLA. The Noah's arc case works fine; it 's loosely structured, with plenty of room for our GORILLA. Noticed the elephants trunk size and the zebras snout are exaggerated in size. It's a CUTE LITTLE STUFFED TOY and SMALL case!UPDATE 1/20/19. She s a little over 3 years old now and has begun to play w them differently by Role playing with them! Cute!! We re STILL ENJOYING THEM !! 5Not as picturedThis item was not as described by the picture. The words "Noah's Ark" are not on mine and that was the whole reason I ordered this particular toy. For a child named Noah! Incredibly disappointed. And I don't have time to return it before the party. 1Love them!I have always loved these sets by Aurora. Kids LOVE them. I've had a few- but my kids are all big now. I do however have the little surprise child that is 4. I decided to replace the old ones because they were looking pretty ratty after several children using them. The babies love them because they're small, but my kids used them till they were about 6. My kids have huge imaginations and these are a good "on the road" toy. Everything stores nicely in its house. This time I bought the little pet carrier as well as the barn animals. I'm giving it 4 stars because the older versions made the animal sounds- which kids LOVE!!! We were very disappointed to find out that they are now just rattles, hence making them more of a baby toy. Super bummed, but I know I'll get at least another 10 years out of these. I have 8 kids, so the older versions I have had, have taken a LOT of abuse! 4Great Set, but Only Two Real Animal SoundsWe had previously owned the My First Barn, but ended up getting rid of it after the batteries died in a few of the animals. I decided to try the My First Pet carrier for my second little since she loves dogs and animals so much.The quality is just as great. It includes a dog, cat, bird and rabbit. It s lightweight, soft and so cute. The roof has velcro on one side to put the animals in.The only thing I didn t like was that only two animals make the real animal sound. The dog barks when you press it and the cat meows. The bird has a squeaker (like a dog toy) which makes it impossible to keep away from a dog who knows that sound. The rabbit just makes a rattle sound. I loved the Barn because each animal made its actually sound. I wish this set was the same.I will still keep it as the quality is great and she will love it. Just wish there were sounds for all animals! 4Needs improvementI would love to give this product 5 stars for being awesome, but the electronic noise making one's don't hold up for very long. I have ordered 3 different sets because they're so popular in my house, and each set that has 2 electronic noise making animals, has had at least 1 of the electronic ones die within a week after getting it shipped to me.I have not contacted the company due to a busy schedule, but I do plan on it. 2
