    We love farkle. We have brought this on a few ...We love farkle. We have brought this on a few camping trips and it was a hit for many people. We had our 4, 6 and 8 year old loving it as well as the adults. It is a nice game to get people involved, especially on a rainy day. Love the price, love the product, love the game. (wish they had more consistent rules on each farkle game people have, but still love playing!!!) 5Fun, low-setup family game for all agesFun game, it's simple enough for kids but strategic enough to hold the interest of adults, and requires no special equipment beyond dice, paper and pencil to track the svores, and the instructions that list the point values for the combinations of dice rolled. Basically you just roll the dice, trying to accumulate points by rolling various pairs or triplets, BUT you lose the turn if you roll and get nothing scorable (a farkle). You can keep rolling as long as you dare, or until you farkle. The only skill lies in knowing when to stop, obviously it's pretty random but there is definitely strategy, based on the progress of the game and your score vs the other players. Should you risk going another roll or two on a good turn and grab more (potentially lots) of points, or stop early to be sure you hold onto the points you have? It's a great family game that only requires 2 or more players, a little table or floor space, and a little time. It doesn't require deep thinking, great memory, learning complex rules, and you can stop and resume later. Good, relaxing fun. Honestly, I am obsessed with fidgeting with the interesting sinusoidal geometry of the container as well, it's like 2 games in one! 5Otherwise the game works just fine.Wish the lid closed tight or screwed in. It falls off the shelf and dice go everywhere. When we take it on the road I tape it shut to make sure we don't lose anything. The rules are old hat and the game could play with any six dice. Six dice were included.I took the stars off because the dice in the cup are white, which do not match the product image that shows orange. We had so much fun playing it that I decided to buy one for us. One downside is the cup. It doesn't lock or twist, so the content can be lost easy if not careful. Also, the set at my family house had lined cup, which was a very nice feature and it didn't make you go deaf every time you shake the dices. Never knew it had a name, we just called it The Dice Game, but it was an often-rowdy staple for the family game night (when all 10 of us played!) But it's also enjoyable for as few as 2 people because it doesn't interfere with conversation.Teaches the benefits of taking chances vs knowing when to not push your luck, children can practice mastering addition quickly and requires nothing but pen/paper for scorekeeping and a flat surface to roll the dice upon, so it's fully portable and can be played pretty-much anywhere, no electricity or wifi required. 5Tried and trueThis is such a fun game. It can be as quick or as long as you d like it to be. We enjoy playing games as a family and this is one that we always come back to. Easy storage and can take it on the road with you.
