This one was great! I used it to add to gift bags at a 'ocean themed' birthday party and they were all fun to share. Lots of variety; sharp colors, and recognizable sea creatures. 5Only 47 and Not Soft, But Good Value and Multi-Use *Totally Independent review-no reimbursements or comp. Also, ** hippocampus in the description sounds like they re including brain parts, lol! This actually means sea horse I think they need to hire a better translator. PLEASE let me know if you find this helpful, I spend way too much time on reviews trying to help other parents, my hubby says it s a problem .I bought these because our usual go-to animals didn t arrive (thanks again, USPS, for ruining my kid s party) but I m glad we found these. They re not what I wanted but they ended up working. Here s what I liked (and please bear in mind the blue piranha in video is NOT part of the set). Colors are fairly vibrant, paint is even relatively accurate, rare for the cheap animals. Good variety. Not what was pictured entirely, but good enough. Impressively detailed for such a small item. Kids fought over who got to play with them, so that s a sign they re interesting! Not HARD plastic like dollar-store fish. They re just bendy enough!My favorite part is that when they re all lost, it s not going to cost me an arm and a leg to get another set.What I didn t like: Didn t receive advertised number. Only got 3 of the ones we were hoping for! Ah well, can t will them all. Kids should not be left alone with them. Choking hazard is real with this one!! (Maybe that s not a con but needs to be noted - they are not all 2 , some are 1/2 .If you re looking for a cost-effective way to keep the kiddos occupied, educate them on ocean animals, practice difficult pronunciation, or use them as decor or rewards, I d recommend this set as long as your expectations aren t too high. 3Says they're less toxic; nice level of detail for cheap little plastic animalsI was fairly impressed. These are simple little plastic bits, but had more level of detail than far more expensive animals - see the final photo of the underside of the animals with grooves, feet, etc! There was a great variety of nice-sized, realistic-looking ocean animals, and it is important that they are non toxic. Because they don't have holes in them, our grandson was able to play with them in the bathtub without any worry of mold developing. Overall, it was a great value and provided hours of fun for a grandson who loves the ocean and all its creatures. 5Great PurchaseI bought this set for my toddler who is 2. He loves animals so I thought it would be nice to introduce him to some sea animals. The pieces are not big and are perfect for small fingers such as toddlers. I do not recommend these animals for babies because of the size. None of the animals have a little hole so no water can accumulate. This was really important to me because my son loves playing with toys in the water. There are MANY sea animals included with the set such as: octopus, dolphins, whales, sharks, sea slug, sea snails, penguin, sea lion, seal, walrus, crab, star fish, squid, sea horses, etc. I would recommended this to any parent that wants to introduce their child to sea creatures. My TWO year old knows the difference between a sea lion, walrus, and seal! I love this purchase. 5Exactly Like the PicturesThey're exactly like they are pictured, so if you look at the 2nd picture of all of them together, then you'll know exactly what you're getting. They're small enough to fit on top of a cupcake, but big enough that I'm not too worried about my toddler playing with them as long as I'm in the same room. As pictured, some are very intricately painted, while others are just one or two colors, which is fine with us. My daughter is in speech therapy, and we have been using these to introduce sea life and, by proxy, expanded vocabulary. They are very motivating for her, and she loves to really examine the details. If your kid is the type to pick up every object and really examine each detail, then they'll be entertained for quite awhile. We're going to put them in with water beads next and watch some ocean documentaries. :) 5Great Bath ToysI bought this pack as bath toys for my children, and I was so pleased when I opened them up! The reason I picked these was because1. They are made with non toxic materials2. Non of them have any openings in themI had to recently throw out all of my kids bath toys due to the fact that water got inside them and they grew mold. My son loves learning about all the different sea creatures while we wash his hair! 5Great reward for potty training kids who love ocean lifeI am using these as a reward during potty training for my child. Every one so far is a different animal and in all different colors.
