    Food Grade Play SetWe originally bought their tea set in the same color scheme because it is made out of food grade plastic. (Tea parties are more fun with real food.) This set is a nice expansion of the original. The utensils could be a bit sturdier but they're for play, after all, so you can't expect titanium. The set is well made, super cute, and not excessively gender specific.5Sturdy, good size, nice colors!The kids love these! I was looking for a set that wasn't harsh primary colors. These are softer and more pleasant to the eye than many out there. They aren't super girly either wich is great. The size is perfect. They could probably have small snacks if desired. I added the green trays to keep their place settings organized when they play. Dollar store find. And it's actually been a great strategy! They play but they don't get them all over the place. They were so excited to show their dad when he got home from work. He liked it too. It's been a few days now, maybe a week, and they continue to feed me invisible food. Awesome buy! They feel like they will last a long time.5Bought for a three year old boy's kitchenMy son asked for a kitchen earlier in the year, and since then, I have had the challenge of finding a kitchen and accessories that are realistic, or at the minimum, gender-neutral. I like this set because for multiple reasons. The colors are not horrific. Looking at other kitchen sets, the options seem to be bright pinks and purples, or some sort of eye-injuring brightly colored nightmare. This was the closest to neutral colors I was able to find. The silverware is a little flimsier than I'd like, but it's no worse than the silverware for any other play kitchen, and is in fact better than some I've seen. The type of plastic was of secondary interest to me, and quite frankly, I care not one whit about its ecological impact, but I'm glad that I managed to find a plastic dining set that at least claims to be phthalate-free. The size of the dishes are also great for a three year old. I'm glad that I chose this set.5Great Children's Play Food Dishes!These are by far my favorite children's play food dishes. I love that Green Toys makes their toys out of recycled milk cartons. The quality of the dishes is impeccable and stands up to a toddler who is tough on her toys. I am always looking for new toys made by Green Toys because they are such a great product. I highly recommend these dishes! We have had these dishes for our toddler for a year now and have started purchasing them for friends and family as well!5Well made, gets used often!Goes great with my toddlers play kitchen. About the questions if this can be used as a real set. It seems durable and like it would work but it is a bit small, I would say it's better for play than to use as a real serving set. My 2 y/o loves to use the bowls to serve us up some delicious fresh play food!5attractive set--Green Toys is always quality!Green Toys is always a trustworthy resource to buy kids' toys--but the great thing is that the price on this set was also comparable to similar sets from sources with quality/safety standards I wouldn't trust as much. So I went for it. Love that it's made from recycled milk jugs and is dishwasher safe!! Includes everything to duplicate what grown-ups actually eat with. The colors are gender-neutral and attractive. Also love that the dishes are kind of stylish :)--not just generic clunky plastic but actually well-designed and not bad to look at when the kids have a toy meal set up on the table. They've gotten lots of use out of these already after just a month or two, and nothing has broken (my boys are far from gentle). Highly recommend.5Awesome for REAL food and teaching mannersI absolutely LOVE Green Toys and this admiration has continued with the addition of this dish set. It's nice to know that it's recycled, can double for play and actual food and everything is the perfect size for my one-year-old.We use these every meal and often for snacks so my son can learn how to use dishes without the risk of anything being broken or damaged (or anyone getting hurt!). He has responded amazingly well and at only 12-months-old, can be taken to a restaurant and allowed to use adult plates without hurdling them off the tables.The forks aren't very sharp - which is what most parents would hope for when it comes to young toddlers so we typically substitute a metal one. The spoons are pretty shallow, which is fine for when we feed my son, but not for when he feeds himself. Regardless, it's nice to have safe cutlery to let him practice with.The teacups are absolutely useless - I agree with other reviewers that tumblers would be more realistic, but they're a small company and I'm sure will figure out an economical way to add another mold in without us griping about prices. My son still gets a kick out of carting them around, nonetheless.I've recommended this (and the company!) to many friends and haven't had anyone disappointed yet so :)5Great as toys and also for cold snacks for kids.I have found from experience that Green Toys make some of the best toys for little kids these days and this dish set is no exception. They are very durable and can withstand lots of play by kids. Our kids have played with this set for about two years now and they are in great shape. They also sometimes use these for real food such as snacks like sliced fruit, cookies, nuts, and potato chips as these are made with food safe plastics.The plastics used in the manufacture of this dish set is high quality and has no funny chemical smells whatsoever upon arrival. The design is great with rounded edges, without any rough spots that can hurt a kid. These are well made toys (and sometimes act as a real dish set) that I can readily recommend. Made in USA.5Quality set that still looks like new after years of use!We have owned this set for almost 5 years now and it is still in practically new condition despite having been used on a nearly daily basis by kids ranging in ages infant-7 years old. The size is perfect, the quality is high, the colors are nice but not obnoxious, and the durability is outstanding. This set fits wonderfully with our KidKraft kitchen. It is definitely a brand that we trust.5Very sturdy!I bought a set of these dishes for my speech therapy office two years ago, and they are in amazing shape. I bought another set recently, because I lost some of the plates. The attached picture is of a fork from the new set (left) and a fork from the old set (right). Hard to distinguish, and believe me, they see plenty of action here in the office, including children biting them hard. I would definitely recommend this brand.I have some of the Green Toys trucks and tractors, which are sturdy, as well. I love watching the boys play with the pink tractor. Social justice through toys. ;-)5
