    ... than I thought they would be - but still wonderful. They go with the kitchen wellThese utensils are smaller than I thought they would be - but still wonderful. They go with the kitchen well. They are well made. The salt and pepper shakers make noise like they really have salt or pepper in them. And they have the little holes on the top - love the details! The pot and pan are adorable and the lid fits both of them. I am very pleased with this purchase. 5Quality Toys! Extremely Pleased!My two year old granddaughter received a new kitchen set from her great Aunt at Christmas. We got her the kitchen starter accessories and other play food from Hape to go along with it. She loves it all! We never dreamed she would take to play cooking the way that she has, but it is so cute! She spends so much time playing in her new kitchen! She cooked and served the family all Christmas Eve! The quality of the items from Hape could not be better! I love the attention to detail (like the salt and pepper shakers making noise) and the pretty green leaf lettuce. She's learned to toss and serve a salad. I believe I may be having as much fun as she is having! Thank you Hape for making quality toys for our littles! I see more Hape toy purchases in our future! 5my 1 year old is obsessed!My 1 year old started playing with these 1 month ago at the local library. We had to buy her 2 sets, one for grandma's house and for our home. She loves this! She pretends to cook, and eat, and feed her stuffed animals. I love the quality and simplicity! 5Cute, but small like most sets like itCute set. The lid fits both pans nicely. The plates are not made of wood. They seem to be made of a hard plastic composite. They have a nice feel to them, and honestly are probably stronger than wood would uabe been at the same thickness. I was torn between 3 stars and 4, but I ultimately chose 3. These are too small for almost any play food. Sort of defeats the purpose. I haven't found a set yet that is any bigger 3VERY well made. :)Oh what cute cooking tools for my little girl! She got them for Christmas with a wooden kitchen and quality is great! We found them while this was the deals of the day for selected Hape toys, so we were able to purchase around $14 for these cute kitchen set!They are well made and so cute... :) My 4 year old loves it but I think it will be perfect for 3-6 years old. I wish we got them sooner! 4Just as wonderful as you expect.These plates are perfect! We love them! Have had them for a year and a half and with the abuse they receive, there is not a scratch on them. They are exactly as pictures and the salt and pepper shaker even has a little Bb type component that sounds like you are shaking something. They are great for our little chef In Her little kitchen. 5Not the best Hape set; the pots are too small.I love Hape play food toys and we have the Hape kitchen. We got these along with the kitchen for Christmas last year. The salt and pepper shakers are great quality and really make a shaking noise, which my son gets a kick out of. The utensils are fine as well, and the knives work well to cut various velcro play food we have. But the pots are just too shallow. You can't put much of anything in them. Hape wood and paint is always much better than Melissa and Doug, which seems to always chip off and be a bit rough. Hape toys are always smooth and very well made. But the pots are just pretty useless in this set, so I have to knock the rating down. 3Great for little hands but wrong proportionsI prefer unpainted wooden products because I've seen the Melissa & Doug painted toys chip too many times so that's one thing I appreciate about this set. I expect it to be durable based on what I see so far.The other thing I love about this set is that the salt and pepper shaker make noise. These instantly became baby's favorite pieces of the set. They make a realistic sound as if spices are shaking inside.My issue with this set is the proportions. First, the frying pan and pot are very shallow so if you put any toy foods in, you can't even stir them around with the spatula or spoon that come with the set. Second, when you try to rest the spatula or spoon inside the pot or pan, they fall out because of the shallowness. Also the silverware is larger than the plates. I feel there needs to be a little more attention paid to the usability.Note: the towel is not included although the description mentions one. 3Plates are plasticThe box states materials- wood, water based paint . This is not true, the plates are plastic. For the amount of money paid, the plates should be wood as well. Plan Toys has a similar set for the same price and all materials are actually wood. If you re the kind of person buying Hape, Haba, Grimms, Plan Toys etc. you just don t want plastic, if we did then we could buy an entire set for way less money. 1Good toyLooks exactly like pictured, and came well packaged. They are really good quality and I prefer this brand over the Melissa & Doug brand. This brand feels like quality. I have had these for 3 months in my preschool classroom. They play with them everyday and they haven't became worn or have any paint fade or chip off. Great purchase 5
