    Sure to become your child s best friendThis doll is absolutely adorable. Such a sweet little face and very realistic. A great value for a realistic looking, cuddly doll that a child will love to play with. I love that La Baby is made in a wide range of skin tones, and that the faces aren t needlessly feminine with false eyelashes and other girly details. It s hard to find a cute doll with biracial or Hispanic skin tone. This one fits the bill perfectly, and it s realistic baby face is one that allows children to choose whether they are playing with a baby boy or girl. Children who find themselves lacking a doll they recognize as like them will be excited to receive this doll. But honestly, children of all ethnicities are bound to love all of the La Babies. Each one has a unique and adorable face. My one complaint is that this doll is stiff right out of the box. I imagine lots of play will take care of that. Also, this baby has a substantial booty. If your child will be putting real diapers on their doll, you ll likely need a size 2 in pampers for a good fit. Size 1 is snug. Otherwise, baby fits perfectly in Newborn or 0-3mo clothing. That means endless opportunities for your child to practice zipping, buttoning, and snapping with real baby clothes. 5Super-cute, sturdy, wears newborn clothes!!!I ordered this doll for a four-year old girl birthday gift after reading many reviews on this and other dolls. I knew the eyes were fixed when purchasing, and I think that was a good choice as a lazy-eyed doll is worse than one that stares all of the time. The expression on the doll we received is very cute, and my four-year old promptly became a mommy. This doll goes everywhere with her now, and she loves dressing it, putting it to bed, feeding it, etc. She did tell me, though, that another doll would a good thing to have, so that when her 1-year old brother steals this one, she'd still have one to play with! Yes, the 22-month old boy LOVES her baby doll as well! We might have to get another for his birthday...I chose this doll over others for durability, cuteness, and the fact that it can wear newborn clothes! Based on what I've seen so far is that we're three for three. We went and picked out several newborn-sized outfits at a local store that sells used children's clothing (no high-prices for doll clothes here). I like that the hair is actually molded into the shape of the baby's head- nothing to mess up or rub off. The face has a very cute expression. The body is soft and light-weight- easy for a four-year old to carry (or a one-year old to steal). The hands/arms and feet/legs are solid only partway up, which makes it look like it's got leggings/long sleeves. My daughter prefers to dress her baby in long sleeves and pants so that just her feet and hands show. We haven't tried socks or booties.The only downside I have observed thus far (one week of lovin') is that the pacifier isn't a great fit in the mouth, and so there is some frustration at times trying to get it to stay in. Oh well...I otherwise HIGHLY recommend this doll. (My nine-year old daughter wants one now, too...)Two months later update: Newborn socks fit perfectly, and we've purchased a second doll for our 2-year old's birthday, because he was frequently making off with big sis's doll! Again- love this doll for its size. The second one has the same face as the first, but no problem because I took it out of the box and re-dressed it in a newborn outfit I picked up at a used kids' clothing store. We've had a few people comment on the first doll- "Oh, I almost thought that was a real baby!" Needless to say, if we leave one in the car during an outing, I'm careful where it goes- the last thing we need is a broken window from someone rescuing our "baby." The fabric on the older doll of our two is balling quite a bit- but she's also been undressed and redressed multiple times a day since her arrival at our house! Otherwise, she's holding up quite well. Marks on the head and face from being bumped around during play have come off easily with rubbing alcohol. 5GREAT for toddlers/young children expecting a baby brother/sister soon!I am 7 months pregnant with a baby boy due in Ocotober and I have a 3 year old son. We wanted our son to be able to practice holding his brother and just being gentle in general So we ordered this baby. Obviously the clothes are pink but because the size is close to what a real newborn is I was able to use clothes that we have already bought for our new son. My son even uses newborn diapers on him and is learning how to change a diaper. (Obviously I am not going to have my son changing his brother and holding him without being right there and helping but I have been told it's good to let them feel like they are helping and keep them involved to keep from jealousy happening). Well my son just LOVES his baby. When I asked him what he wanted to name him he said, "Baby".lol so he pushes around his baby brother in a small stroller I got him, feeds him, and changes him. It's pretty cute actually and I really think it has been helping him prepare for the arrival of his "real" baby brother in October. 5Adorable Asian baby dollThe asian baby doll is so cute! For a young child it is great that it doesn't have eyelashes if, like my daughter, they pull them off. It is a great quality and the sculpt is wonderful! Newborn clothes fit perfectly and the pacifier it comes with works great. The eyes are realistic with depth to the iris and clear over top. The skin tone is a little lighter than I was looking for but is still a nice shade and natural looking. The pictures I added look more yellow than it actually is.Now there are a few things I would change. I do wish the doll had eyebrows painted on, although I prefer none to really fake looking ones. It is stuffed kinda firm which I think will hold up better to play and feels more realistic but makes it harder to sit up on its own (but quite frankly what newborn baby can sit up?).So overall it's one of the best dolls I've purchased and this brand never disappoints! Would definitely recommend and purchase again! 5Great doll for REAL baby clothes!I was looking for a doll that could fit into "real" baby clothes for my five year old daughter. She's always wanting to shop for her babies when we go to the store but it's so limiting only being able to buy "doll" clothes. I decided to give this doll a shot and I'm so glad we did. It fits into newborn and 0-3 month clothes really well. I bought newborn diapers for the doll and those are a little snug so I need to size up into a size 1's, I think. The pacifier stays in the mouth really well. The baby can also "hold" the pacifier which my daughter thinks is the coolest thing ever. I do agree with another reviewer saying the doll kind of has a "purple" tint to it. That's not a deal breaker for us though - it does just look a little purple'ish. The only thing I dislike (which doesn't really mean much in terms of my rating) is the arms on the doll. If you aren't careful when dressing her, the arms can turn backwards. I'm worried about well those seams will hold up after months and months of constant dressing, undressing, and carrying. I guess I will update my review if I find that they start to wear down or tear quickly. So my only advice is to be careful when dressing her to make sure her arms stay the right way. I took a photo of her - the pink outfit is a size 0-3 month outfit and the little sleeper outfit is a newborn one. The socks are also newborn size. My daughter is SO happy with this doll and has named her "Pumpkin". I think this is a great affordable doll for those little ones who might want a life size doll to dress and carry around. 5Awesome for advertising my crochet items!Great doll! I have an Etsy store and I knit/crochet for adults but I wanted to start making baby items. Well this one is perfect for photos! It's a size of a newborn-3 months. It looks very realistic so will be perfect for photos of my items. 5Great for a kid, less great if you are looking for a newborn-sized dollThis is not the "La Baby" model as advertised. It has no model name and is just labeled as from the "Berenguer Boutique." I was looking for the "La Baby" model because those measurements are comparable to a newborn baby. This model looks more realistic to a newborn than the "Lots to Cuddle" model, but the head and chest measurements are larger than the "La Baby" version by about 2 inches each. It's a great doll if you want it for a kid. I'm looking for a realistically sized soft body doll to use for prenatal classes though, and don't like scaring parents by using babies with extra-large heads. 4My La Baby was not made in Spain! My granddaughter doesn't care!I bought this doll for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas, it was to be her first life size baby doll, along with a backpack/diaper bag full of newborn clothing, diapers and accessories and a realistic car seat. I was very surprised while getting this doll dressed for the holidays to discover a Made in China tag stitched to her body, it also stated made in China on the box the doll came in. Before seeing the tag I had checked out the doll and found her to be well made. Well stitched and no funky odors some have found. She came dressed in an adorable sleeper (white with delicate pink flowers) that matches her cap and she has a pacifier attached. I want to add here that I notified Amazon, they immediately replied that they were looking into this, they refunded my money and told me to keep the doll to do with as I please. I also noticed the page for La Baby 20 inch soft body no longer claims this doll is made in Spain. Thank you Amazon for such incredible customer service! I grade all of my purchases here based on the quality of the product, whether I recieve what I expected and any contact with the seller or Amazon. All in all, this purchase and Amazon's customer service deserves 10 stars, but JC Toys should have edited the description and removed the 3 times they claimed this doll came from Spain before they were called out.Edited to add: my granddaughter has a new favorite doll. She brings her "baby" everywhere. She doesn't care if the doll came from Spain, China or the Moon. She just loves her. 318 NOT 20 (head to heel)-limits the use of baby clothes on itCute doll even without eyebrows ;)I purposely searched for a 20 doll, and was very disappointed to receive 18 doll instead. Won t bother returning because my daughter (2 year old) isn t interested in playing with it yet anyway (prefers cars).Hopefully things will change after her sister is born..The reason I wanted 20 doll was because I didn t want to spend money on doll clothes, hoping we can use baby clothes.*Some newborn clothes fit but not the way I want-seem kind of loose/too big in my opinion (kids may be ok with the fit).*Doll can only wear long sleeve and long pants.*Finger doesn t stay in doll s mouth, and pacifier requires a little strength to be pushed in. 4Newborn sizeI am a lactation consultant in a hospital and needed a baby doll for demonstrating breastfeeding positioning that is the same size as an actual baby. Most of the realistically sized baby dolls you find here and elsewhere are the weird expensive ones that look like real babies. This one looks like a toy. That's not to say you don't startle people when you stick it in your tote bag and take it out to demonstrate!I left it at work so I can't measure it for accuracy. It -does- seem bigger than 20" and the head is a lot bigger than an actual newborn. I would say it's more like a 2 month old size baby. For most people, especially children, this won't make a huge difference but if you're looking for a doll that is exactly the same as a newborn, it might not work for you. But for a new big sibling, it's probably perfect because you will be able to dress it in clothes the real baby is wearing. Then you can say it's a boy or girl, whereas this one is wearing a pink outfit. I like that it doesn't come with a bottle, as many dolls do. It -does- come with a pacifier that is attached to its outfit. I cut that off because we encourage no pacifiers for breastfeeding babies as it interferes with latch. Of course, you should do what you want!I wanted a non-white baby so I chose this one because the Hispanic baby looks mad. This one has a sweet expression on its face. 5
