Customer Reviews

Great BuyMy Grandmother is blind in one eye and can barely see out of the other so she needed something big to see and something to do because she gets bored a lot. She had a similar one when I was a little girl that we used to play on. When she received it in the mail she had no clue what was coming and was very ecstatic, she plays it every day and I bought the insurance to go with it 5Nice poker game. Great price. FUN!This is just you basic mini 5 card poker game. It has 5 card draw, deuces (wild), bonus, 2x, and 2x2 modes. It is still all 5 card draw poker, just different modes/games regarding the way you earn points. Buttons work nice, and it has a quick response time. The only downfall is that it is a little small. So if you are getting this for someone with bad eyesight, i might recommend one that it is a little bigger. 4Radica Poker game works greatThis is larger than the Radica Poker game I bought in 1990. It s a little harder for me to hold. It s almost like a toddler s toy because of its larger size. The keys are a bit harder to push, and the speed at which it operates is so fast that it gave me a big headache when I first started using it.Other than that, it works fine. It s easy to set up; having to unscrew the battery compartment annoyed me at first, but at least the screw helps keep the battery compartment cover in place. The game itself is just like my old one, except for the faster speed. I still can t get used to it. And it s highly addictive, so don t start playing with this thing when you have something important to do or somewhere important to go, because you WILL lose track of time. As a low tech game, it s a good time waster, and since my old Radica poker game from 1990 still works, I think this one will keep you entertained for some time to come. 4Not as much fun, awkward to use & understandI purchased this as a replacement for a Radica handheld poker game that finally died after many enjoyable years, and am disappointed. Since the price of a Radica (or Mattel version, almost identical) was unrealistic, I chose this one and wish I hadn't.For starters, the design/placement of the "hold" keys is awkward - if you hold this "cupped" in your fingers (like you would hold a phone for texting, using your thumbs to push the buttons), your nails constantly get caught/clip the inset frame around the top of the buttons. No, my nails are not long. You just don't have enough room to push the buttons without catching your nail.It works as far as playing poker. But that's it. Trying to make sense of the points is an exercise in futility. Going from being able to see a running total (plus/minus depending on if you win the hand) to just having columns of numbers that will only go from 1-9 on a separate screen instead of just displaying a running total... No clue what my "score" or point total is, or how to read "high score". The first column goes up to 9, it will then start a second column (again, 1-9) and if that column tops 9, it starts a 3rd column (1-9 again) And there are no instructions, so if anyone is familiar with this and can explain it, it would be most appreciated! Finally. it has a weird hiccup for displaying "win" if you hit a winning hand - it may or may not immediately flash "WIN". Sometimes it takes a few seconds before it realizes "oh, that's a winning hand" and if you aren't familiar with poker, since it also displays "game over" immediately, you'd think you had lost that hand. If you hit deal/draw, it will flip over to the scoring screen and credit you (again, with that weird running 1-9 into columns total), then deal your next hand. All in all, it serves the purpose of wasting a few minutes, but isn't an enjoyable "don't want to put it down" game like the last one was. Would not recommend it. You get what you pay for. 3Fun game to pass the time.My family has this weird tradition to have a poker or other small electronic game in the bathroom. Yeah, don't ask.Anyway, I never wanted one because of, ya know, germs. But I finally realized I could just give it a schutz of Lysol once a week and probably be OK. So I've had this thing for a few months, every week it gets a schutz, and we're cool. And now the family tradition continues. 5purchased for my mom who is ill and has anxiety ...purchased for my mom who is ill and has anxiety and is a addicted gambler. this seems to calm her down and remove the anxious feelings. 4Great Toy for BrianIts the perfect game for someone who is not computer savvy. People forget that not everyone wants to use a "Smart" Device and there will always be a culture of people who well never have the ability to understand a "Smart Device." This is perfect for those individuals. 4Not a Fan of the Wild CardI wish you could pick a non-wild-card game, or Jacks-or-Better, or some other variation. Only other complaint is that it has an auto-off, which is nice, but I wish I could shut it off myself and not rely on the auto-off. 3Bought it for my Mother-in-law to help her pass the ...Bought it for my Mother-in-law to help her pass the time. She had an old smaller one that didn't work half the time but she kept using so I decided to get this as more of a gag gift. When she opened the box you would have thought that I had given her a million dollars. Since she is a widow, she uses this to help pass the time 5this product never workedproduct arrive on time but was a big disappointment had batteries included no help I put new batteries in the game never came on never worked I think it was a defect in the product amazon did give me a refund. stated I could dispose of the product.i really wanted the poker game that was a bomber 1
