    GREAT FUN! Sparks a lot of conversations and questions.Great way to talk to your kiddos or anyone about the basics of the solar system. I wish the design of mercury, pluto and the moon were more distinct and closer to how there are commonly depicted in books that you will read kids when discussing. But seriously overall its really good and there is a tab to hang them from the ceiling, which will be fun as well.Also, it contains pluto which is not listed as planet because it is a plutoid. This is correct, just keep in mind and discuss with your little one so they dont associate it as a planet because it looks the same to them. Its difficult to explain how pluto is not a planet because it has not cleared its orbital path and why that is important to a 5yr old. But they will get it. 5Great look but i can't fix a leakEveryone has loved how these look in my math and science classroom. However, Mars came with a leak in it. I have used the seals that come with the package but it still goes flat daily. I wish I could buy Mars by its self. 3Cute and nice quality.These have held air very well. We have used them for two birthday parties and now hanging in my son's room! The sun is SO big. I have a very tall ceiling on one side of his room, I don't think it would have worked in a typical room. Love them! 5Where do I start?Let me first begin with this is my first product review ever. I can't express how deeply disappointed I was with this product. When I first began looking for solar system items, I saw this set on Amazon and was excited. Being the nerd that I am, I always read reviews. There were some bad, and some good. I decided to purchase them despite the bad reviews because they were Learning Resources after all. They always have good quality items right?....well I won't be so quick to purchase from them again. What I hated: The pump was terrible and kept falling apart. Out of frustration I decided to blow them up myself. (The sun takes a lot of breath!). They did a good job coloring a few of the planets and the sun, however there were quite a few that were mostly white and I couldn't tell what they were. Saturn's rings weren't that great either. I went ahead and blew them all up anyways. I blew them up at the end of the school day and planned to show them to my students the next morning. Unfortunately when I arrived the next morning 5 of the planets had lost about half their air. I checked for holes, and yep, they had some small holes. I am so disappointed and so were my students. What's happening with Learning Resources? I hope this is not a new trend for them. 1Perfect for the little scientistPurchased this as a birthday gift for our 6 year old budding scientist. He absolutely loves it! They are very good quality, amazingly detailed, and look awesome hanging in his room. They are very large so we had to zigzag them across his ceiling to be able to keep them in the correct order. Much cooler than the plastic hanging solar systems you can buy. 5One problem...This set is great except for one small thing. The Saturn planet developed a hole after a month or so. The hole was in a place where the ring attached to the main ball so one of the included patches would not stay in place. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a brand new set at no cost (amazing customer service from them!)Unfortunately when the new set arrived, Saturn already had a hole in it!! I couldn't believe it!The hole was in virtually the exact same spot as the first one we had! A patch could not be put on so sadly, Saturn had to be thrown away.My boys love this set and play with it daily. It's just a shame that the Saturn inflatable isn't up to the same level of quality as the other planets in the set. 3My 4 year old is impressed with their sizeBought these for my 4 yo's birthday party as decorations and then to use in his bedroom afterwards. He loves them so much. They lose air a bit. Saturn's rings look really pathetic and droopy after 4 days. Otherwise the quality is decent (not great), you can easily identify which planet is which so some of the more marked characteristics are printed well (Jupiter's Red Spot, the craters on Mercury, etc...). The sizes are not to scale but are correct as to which are bigger/smaller. The foot pump was "helpful", I guess, it's really poor quality. Yet probably easier to use on the sun, Jupiter, and Saturn than not use it. The rest I blew up on my own. 4AMAZING!! I bought these for my son's room ...AMAZING!!I bought these for my son's room and they have been a huge hit! They have been hanging from his ceiling for almost 2 months now and have not deflated at all. We love that they show an accurate representation of size for each planet. They would be great for any space-loving child or any early elementary classroom!My only complaint is that the video on the listing implied that this item came with easy-hanging hook and strong, but that is not the case. I ended up using balloon ribbon and thumb tacks to hang these from the ceiling. 4Great quality and great sized planets!I am so happy with this purchase. I bought these to hang from the ceiling in my 7yo's space themed bedroom and they worked perfectly. I didn't hang the sun in his room because it is HUGE! Which is awesome, just not practical! haha. When he is done using them I will be stealing them back and hanging them from the ceiling in my classroom! After being hung for 5 months, I noticed Mars and Mercury apparently had a small hole in the seam of them that has been slowly leaking air, but I was able to patch it easily with the patches that come with the set. I didnt use the pump to inflate them so I cant review how well that worked....but it looked easy to use and well made. Overall, I'm incredibly happen with these planets and highly recommend them! 5Did not hold airWell, I guess I got suckered into buying this despite the negative reviews. I only wanted to inflate the items and hang them from the ceiling. I wasn't going to use them in the pool or play with them. However, Jupiter had a hole in the seam at the top by the plug before I put hardly any air in it. The patch tape is useless on a seam. Now, can someone at Learning Resources, tell me how I can have solar system display in my library without Jupiter??? By the way, if you are still considering this product, note that the handy hooks mentioned in the video are also not present. And, there is no color guide to identify the planets. The only planet that could possibly be Mercury is about 2 inches bigger than the dimensions provided in the pamphlet. Not happy with my purchase. 1
