    I love these tweezersI am a preschool teacher. I love these tweezers! I make a lot of sensory bins in my classroom. The children love to use the tweezers when they are working in the bins to pick up things. Builds fine motor skills and lets children develop the needed motor skills they need to write with! 5Excellent productI ordered these tweezers to use as a tool to practice fine motor skills with my kindergarten and first grade students. They arrived on time and the quality is great. The plastic is very thick and will last for a long time. Because they are so thick they are a little bit hard for some small hands to get around and to squeeze together but that is easily modified. I have come to like that they are a little more resistant to squeezing together because it works the kids hands muscles that much more which is what I wanted to begin with. The price and quality cant be beat. I am very happy with this product and since have had several other teachers in our building order the same product. 5Look strong, but not durableThese tweezers look great with bright colors and feel sturdy, but 6 of the 12 have broken in the same place. Picture shows crack location. From September 2018 to November 2018 is not very long for them to last. 1Great price pointPerfect for home or school learning/playing! I like that this set comes with an array of colors. You can t beat the price for the amount received- we donated half to our preschool and kept the remaining for our kids to use at home. The larger size is great for different ages to use, since getting a grip on them is easy. 5Learning Resources Jumbo Tweezers Set Of 12No opinion on the product itself for its INTENDED purpose.I have an elderly relative who has a problem placing pills in pill boxes and was looking for something making it easier for that individual to pick up a pill and placing it in a weekly pill container. Nothing on the market for this purpose. Seeing those, I hoped they would work; but, unfortunately, they aren't as pliable as I had hoped. Also, they are longer than I anticipated them being. Too bad...so my search continues. 3Appealing tweezers, but hard for preschool kids to manageThese colorful tweezers match the colors of many of our small sorting sets, so they seemed like an obvious fit as a fine motor tool.We can set out a basket of mixed materials and have children pick same-colored tweezers and bowls to pick out all of the items of their color.It works well in theory, but in practice these tweezers aren't so great.They are very large, very stiff, and made of slick plastic. They slip and slide around in the child's hand and I notice that children often drop the tweezers or end up using both hands to try to make them work, and it seems to cause a good bit of frustration. Kids who would normally stick with sorting tasks for quite awhile seem to get annoyed and give up with these tools.The youngest preschoolers who would benefit most from color sorting activities just put the tweezers down and use their fingers instead.We ended up switching to metal ice cube tongs and wooden Montessori tweezers, using markers or stickers if color coding is needed. We've had better luck with these materials; kids are more apt to stick with it and enjoy the task if their tools work as intended! 3Not for little handsDisappointed in how difficult they are to use! I had hoped my 3 yr old granddaughter would be able to use them to pick up buttons, craft pom poms, etc., for sorting. I didn't read the reviews carefully, however, and although the text says they're for 5+, I have my doubts about that. They're just too much for little hands. They are well made for older, stronger hands, and the bright colors are terrific. 2OkayHard for my group of two-three year olds, should have bought smaller3Great service and priceGreat service and price. Well made product, love the colors . . . but totally USELESS! I should have return but i had high hopes because they matched the other products i had purchased. Grandkids cannot even use as tongs to "cook" with, hard to grasp adn keeps slipping. I DO NOT recommend. Another "pretty but good for nothing". 1Difficult for small handsThese are easy grip, but definitely not easy squeeze. I purchased these for my kindergartner and preschooler. The kindergartener can use these, but with difficulty, and he gets frustrated after awhile. They are very rigid and hard to squeeze to pick items up. My youngest can't use them at all. They seem to be very good quality though, and I will be holding onto them to use down the road.4A little hard to squeezeArrived as expected! Very colorful and come in a plastic container with a handle. I did notice that they are hard to squeeze unless you squeeze them with your whole hand. Even then, they are somewhat difficult to squeeze. I am worried they might be too difficult for the children in my first grade classroom but am hoping they will loosen up with time as I plan to use these on a weekly basis in my reading centers for building words with pom-poms. 4Easy Grip TweezersI wish I could write a truly positive review for this item.The name itself is a bit of a misnomer; although it's easy to hold them, they are far too stiff to be used to pick up small items with any accuracy. The package itself calls them "Jumbo tweezers . . . get a grip on fine motor skills." They are indeed Jumbo tweezers. They are just shy of 6" long and about 2 1/2" wide. The tips are about 1" wide at their opening.I purchased them to use with the "biggie" Perler beads and a pair of five-year-old girls who have excellent small motor skills. Unfortunately, it was far too difficult to pick up the beads with these tweezers . . . they are difficult to use with accuracy for small objects, even for adults. Mind you, they are bright and colorful and attractively packaged, but they are larger than I'd expected, and I suppose that's part of the problem. Although the package states that they can be used to "pick up buttons, beads and more," I think they'll be more useful (and used) for the job shown in the small photo displayed on the package . .. picking up bugs. :) You do have to hold them fairly close to the tip ends in order to really use them. And they would work as grip strengtheners, which is also one of the listed uses on the package ("strengthens muscles in the hands.") But I found them uncomfortable and awkward to use, personally.The girls (and their younger brothers) were very excited to see them . . . they are bright and colorful and attractively-packaged . . . but their excitement turned to disappointment with being unable to use them for the job for which they were purchased. However, they had plans to use them for outside "exploring," so perhaps their purpose won't be totally lost.As an alternative use, they might make handy clips for holding a picnic table cloth onto a table outdoors, provided the table is no more than about 1" thick.3Love theseThese are exactly what I needed. I bought them to use in our sensory table. My three year old is strong enough to use them, but I can tell they are helping him build some hand strength. Great colors, great price, great overall. 5
