Customer Reviews

Great way for kids to use their brain and have fun at the same timeI love this!!! My 2 year old loves this!!!! My feet do not love this! Haha she leaves them out and my feet find them, they aren't as bad as legos though! My two year old will play with them for hours. She isn't very good at sorting them, but she likes to use other cups or bowls and put some in, take some out, and repeat for quite a while. My older kids 5/7/8 all love playing with the tweezers and sorting them haha 55 starsWe bought this as a gift for our daughter's third birthday. She is about to turn six and still loves playing with this educational toy. It has quickly become one of our very favorite games to gift as well. It includes a sturdy and really cute pie. The pie comes with 5 different colors (red, orange, yellow, purple, and green) of fruit. There are 60 pieces of fruit! Three double sided cards are included: 2 sides show the certain fruits and their colors, 2 sides includes numbers from 1-10, 1 side shows the shape of colorless fruit and the last side shows a color wheel. The crust and dividers remove so that you can place sorting cards in the bottom of the pie to encourage a sorting activity. It also comes with 2 large tweezers that are perfect for little hands to practice working on fine motor skills. My daughter has always been a sorter and organizer so we knew this would be right up her alley. My daughter also loves to pulls this out for pretend play and makes us all kinds of different pies in her play kitchen. I really can't recommend this product enough. 5Great sturdy toy with lots of learning possibilitiesThis was a huge hit with my children (ages 6, 3, and 1). They played so nicely together and had a blast. My youngest is very OCD and she thought it was great that you had to sort out these little fruits into the pie. She also doesn't put things in her mouth as most one-year-olds typically do. So if your baby puts things in their mouth, this is not for them. Comes with 60 fruit (6 yellow grapefruits, 6 yellow bananas, 6 green bananas, 6 green apples, 6 red apples, 6 red berries, 6 purple berries, 6 purple plums, 6 orange oranges, and 6 orange apricots), 2 tongs, 3 double-sided sorting cards, a pie pan, a pie crust with 5 dividers, and a pie crust top that can be used as a bowl to put the fruit while the kids are sorting them out. The sorting card options: By color, By fruit and color, By fruit, By numbers 1-5 or 6-10. It all seems to be made from very durable plastic. My nieces and nephews (ages 4, 2, and 1) came over and played with it as well and my nephew did put them in his mouth. He even tried to chew on them and I saw no tooth marks on the fruit afterwards. I highly recommend this product! It is great to help children with fine motor skills, how to sort things based on one attribute, learning their numbers and how to count. 5It was love at first sight.Arrived this morning and my 3yo hasn't stopped playing with it yet. I was a little disappointed she had such an easy time with the tweezers, but that only means I probably should have ordered it sooner, as in while she was a bit younger. Doesn't matter, it's great for sorting too. I didn't really look for dimensions in the description, even though I've been annoyed several times when ordering toys from certain amazon sellers by how small they turned out to be. This is not small at all! It is a nice-sized pie, about the size of a pie you would bake at home, maybe slightly smaller, but not much. The colors are bright and the shapes are pleasing. This is a well-made learning toy. 5Great option for pre/kinder math manipulative and more!We started home schooling our boys and have been looking for good math manipulatives that both my 2 and 4 year old can use and enjoy. This hit the nail on the head for sure. We debated several similar options, to include counting bears, before deciding on this for the price and functionality of it. We love the large, life-like pieces of fruit for the "pie" and the fact that it came with 60 pieces. My youngest child generally knows not to put objects in his mouth, but the large fruit give the extra reassurance that he is not going to pop it in his mouth without my noticing (he has not yet tried this thankfully!).My boys love playing with this together as well as individually if I'm working on something one-on-one with the other child. The activity cards that come with it range in difficulty (3 double sided cards), so for example I can use the color card for my 2 year old to sort by color and the counting card for my 4 year old to sort by number. I see this being used for a while in our home as the fruit themselves can be used for math manipulatives outside of the sorting pie activities.Another reason we appreciate this is it exercises fine motor skills using the tweezers to pick up the fruit. Both my kids struggled when they first started using the sorting pie tweezers but have since mastered using them. This is also great for pre-writing skills for my youngest son. If the math and motor skills aren't enough, this pie also brings out my boy's imaginations. They love "baking pies" for mommy and daddy!Although all the pieces - including the tweezers - fit inside of the pie itself, the pie does not close securely which is probably the only "con" I can think of. If you have a leveled shelf to place it on, this isn't an issue. We keep it in the box it came with so that we can store it upright as this was just more convenient for us. The box is sturdy enough that this has not been an issue. 5awesome preschool-age toy and manipulativeI first saw this in a preschool classroom and knew I wanted to find one for my daughter. We gave it to her for her third birthday. She gets it out and plays with it everyday, and we were pleasantly surprised that her 6-year old sister likes to play with it too! They love the tweezers and to sort by color, by type or to just "serve" the fruits. With some assistance, it is also a great counting manipulative and has the versatility for the sorting and counting to grow in complexity throughout the preschool and kindergarten years. The tweezers are also a good fine motor-skill manipulative. The set is well made and sturdy. We keep it in the storage box, putting it away on the shelf after each use so that the fruits don't get mixed in with the other toys. This works to both keep the set intact and to make it a "special" toy that is well-looked after. While it costs a little more than some toys, I think it was worth the price for both its educational value and pure enjoyment as a toy. 5A great educational toy and lots of fun too! This educational toy is awesome! I actually bought it to use with my toddler daughter for learning colors. She is doing well with learning the names and sorting. As she is only 19 months, she only uses it when we are playing with it together as the pieces are quite small. I try to avoid buying plastic toys usually because I hate the idea of them sitting in a landfill someday, but I think she will use this one for years to come and then we can share it with someone else. It really is nice quality and a great learning tool. 5Very good quality, and great for ages 3-5Really like the quality of the pieces and versatility of this pie. You can use if for a variety of learning experience for a young child such as color recognition and grouping, counting, and developing the pinscher grasp. My only complaint is that the tweezers are very stiff and extremely difficult for a longer child to manipulate. I'd recommend this toy for an older 3 year old to 4 or 5 year old. 4Fantastic learning toy with lots of usesThe cards make it very obvious to kids of all skill levels what type of activities can be preformed. My son instantly caught onto the idea that he could sort by color, type of fruit, color and type of fruit, or number of fruit. He spends hours with this, and I barely have to guide the play. The tweezers are just a bit tough for him to use, though. He also loves to play pretend with it, making me a pie and 'eating' it.Be warned, though, because my cats also think the rolling fruit makes fantastic toys, and they help lose them. 5Great buy!!My 3 year old daughter is into sorting and obviously learning her colors and numbers so as I researched for a way to help her achieve those goals I found this! She loves it since the day we introduced it to her!!! I found other products similar but nothing that contained a place (the pie) to keep everything in. SmallItems like these tend to get lost easily so having a fun place to put them in was important to me. Well my daughter has noProblem keeping them inside her pie. 5
