It is one of the first games we have found that my seven year old can play, and my husband and I still enjoy. It is quick and fun as you assemble words and phrases to make newspaper headlines. Harder to use words are worth more points. Headlines area often silly, and we sound a lot of time laughing. This game also gives us a fun way to help our daughter learn about nouns, verbs, etc. as well as mental arithmetic. 5Fun in the classroom!This is a great game to encourage teamwork in your classroom and adds a healthy dose of competition. It sparks their creativity when students are required to make up a story that goes along with their headline. Lots of fun! 5Its fun. Surprisingly soI got this game a while back as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend for Christmas. It sat on a shelf for a long time, and finally one night we had friends over and busted it out. Its fun. Surprisingly so, considering how simple it is, and its easy to play, but be prepared for some discourse over just how grammatically correct or incorrect a headline is. Definitely worth picking up though and its a fun game to play with a few friends. 5Just ok... if that.It's okay, just not a game our crew is a huge fan of. We've given it a few chances but because this is a really small deck of cards to play with, once we played it a few times it felt stale and no one seems to request it anymore. Glad I got it super cheap. I'll likely donate it or put it in a garage sale this summer. If it's cheap and you're looking for something new, give it a try. I wouldn't spend much on it though if you decide to try it. 2Funny, laugh-out-loud family gameWe enjoy playing this game with our 8, 10 and 12 year old kids. Thankfully the cards are all appropriate, except for maybe the "naked" one, but that's the one they think is the funniest and can make the best headlines. ;) Even though there are points on the cards, we rarely care about the points on them, we just try to make the funniest headline. Kinda wish the scoring was based on a judging system (funniest headline) instead of points on the cards, but you can definitely make it that way yourself. 5It's simple and fun to play with everyoneIt's simple and fun to play with everyone! Most of my students think of this game as work, not a fun activity. 3Goofy but fun for all ages.Usually evolves, or devolves, from a competitive game to a hilarious cooperative effort to make the craziest headlines that have some modicum of sense. 5Super fun, fast & easy but doesn't get boringNobody in my family can remember the name, bless their hearts, but it's telling that it's the "hilarious headline game".Players age 9-65 all had a wild, fun time.Scoring is easy to track and play goes quickly. Unlike some games, it's both fast to pick up and yet never loses the "new" and interesting aspect. Really nice for a quickie game and it has a TON of application for reading skills despite the hilarity it offers. 5Made for fun family game nightPlayed this with my sons, ages 10, 11 and 13. My 10 year old has reading issues and he LOVED this game. We all laughed so hard at some of his creations.And for the record, the set of cards that we received had a plain dog on the box and deck. No tape muzzled dogs anywhere; just a plain happy looking dog. 5
