    Makes you wonder I first saw this item in a retail setting and was mesmerized by the question of "how." It's a great conversation piece to place anywhere. Completely quiet. May struggle to turn on a cloudy day, or at night with a light far away. Understandable when you know it's powered by light. 5The world does not keep turning so it seems...Both the original and a replacement stopped turning. 1WarrantyLoved my globe but it just got a big bubble on the top and now it doesn't spin. I don't feel a 1 year warranty is long enough. It has be sitting in the same place and not been touched at all. Just a little FYI. 3It's like a good fire.People can't stop staring at this thing on my desk. It is so much neater than the picture could make it out to be. My physics degree friends all asked what makes it move. The movement is so delicate and smooth that it seems unreal. Most people pick it up and stare at it... If you follow the directions that come in the box, it makes the presentation absolutely stunning. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? I think so. It is very nice quality. I recommend it for anyone in an office environment who wants their "desk decor" to be above the kinetic chrome pieces that you see. I'll bet no one can resist staring at it and talking about it. 5Yes it's expensive, buy it anyway.I've had this for a few months now. I really wasn't sure I would think it was worth the money...it was an extravagant expense for such a small globe. After getting it and putting it in my office, I was mesmerized. This thing is awesome. I encourage you to look up on YouTube how these work...fascinating! The map and globe features are high quality. Keep in mind that it's not a super practical reference globe because it's always spinning and it always faces "up", but I did get this one because it shows the ocean currents and has shading to show topography. I guess the light sensor gave out? It was great while it lasted, but very disappointed that it no longer works. I also purchased 3 additional globes as gifts (different styles from different stores on Amazon) and I will regret hearing when the gifts no longer work. I spent $95-$150 each for them, and after watching Juno successfully reach Jupiter on solar power after a 5-year journey, you'd think the technology would be better. So, this review is for MOVA Globe in general, not this particular store. 3
