    great valueEach of my teenagers got Nerf guns for Christmas Eve. They all played with them all evening. I like this gun because the darts are different. Each dart has a design and are done in cute feminine patterns and colors. It made keeping the darts sorted out very easy. It shoots much further than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again. 5Needs some workI got this for my 8 year old daughter for christmas. While the design is cool and looks good in your hand, the gun is difficult to use for smaller kids. My daughter is on the small size, and she has difficulty using the slide between shots. Also, the crossbow piece comes apart more frequently than we'd like. It's easy to put back into place, but it's a hassle in the middle of a nerf battle. 8-) The darts are the basic nerf elite darts with Rebelle designs on them. The durabiltiy of the darts seems in line with most other nerf darts. I do not plan on buying extra Rebelle darts as we have plenty of the elite darts around. All in all, this is an okay nerf gun. No problem with darts jamming and the dart flight is pretty decent - usually around 50 ft. 310 year old LOVES it!Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter who has 3 little brothers....perfect gift! And the dart sizes from all the other Nerf guns fit so I only had to by 1 extra pack for her, although she much prefers to have the decorated darts versus the orange ones. The bow was tricky to get attached at first you really have to make sure it snaps down. Taking the bow back off to pack it up for travel was almost impossible. I think once you put it together it is intended to stay that way. 4The crossbow is also fun to shoot and seems to have a better aimMy children of 6 and 8 received three Nerf guns for Christmas. I've played with them all: The Zombie Strike SlingFire, Rebelle Guardian Crossbow and Zombie Strike Hammershot. The SlingFire is by far the funnest. There is a certain satisfaction with working the pump and slamming the clip into home. However, reloading takes longer as you have to work the pump, pull a tab to eject the clip and then load it - whereas the Hammershot and Crossbow are quickly reloaded by dropping ammo into their barrels. Also, the aim on this one is way high. We did not buy a precision sniper rifle so we'll let that one go.The crossbow is also fun to shoot and seems to have a better aim. The darts go much further than I expected. I was worried that the bow part might break but my 8 year old daughter handles it well and always lays it upside down when she isn't playing with it. If your kid is rough on toys - a toss on the ground may break this one. It's attractive for girls and my daughter loves her special ammo.The Hammershot is quick to load and has superior accuracy. My 6 year old son has to use two hands to hold the gun and cock the hammer but he enjoys it all the same. Maybe better for an older child (like me). 5Great toy!Bought this for my 7 year old daughter. She loves it, but more importantly, my husband and I do, too!! It is so much fun! It is easy to use and shoots far. She can now keep up with her older brother. 5Fantastic gift for 9yr old!Our sin wanted to buy this for our daughter for her 9th birthday, and she was ecstatic to get it! She loves Nerf guns, all kinds, but this is her first now. Holds up nicely, only downfall is that the bow constantly falls off so she just takes it off and shoots the other way. 5Was in great condition, and my daughter loves itThis was a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter. She loves that it is the female version of the Nerf items that her brother plays with. It is the same quality, but in girl colors. We would certainly buy more of the Rebelle products!! Love that they are specific to girls!! 5Terrible designToo hard for my kid to shoot. Plus even when adults reloaded it, it doesn t shoot the bullets about half the time. Way too expensive for the toy to only work 50% of the time. 1Easy to loadPros:1. Slamfire did not seem to have to sacrifice range or accuracy.2. Easy to load.3. Its a freakin' crossbowCons:1. It was a bit hard to prime compared to other nerf blasters.2. The stock was the tiniest bit too short.All in all; I think this blaster was worth the money. 4Take it outside and try not to shoot someone's eye out.Bought this for a child younger than the recommended age (shhhh!), and as expected, her dad and cousins were more than happy to help operate it. Super entertaining, works really well-- possibly too well for indoors since at short range, you can and will hear a lot of, "OW CUT IT OUT." Though there is seriously no reason for it to be pink, at least it's not peptobismol through and through. (My own daughter preferred the Z-Strike zombie green-and-orange crossbow, which unsurprisingly is not subject to the pink tax-- a fact my wallet appreciated, too.) It does indeed use all of the regular Nerf darts, so at least you won't go broke buying the special girly darts to supply your kids with the ammo they need to terrorize one another. 4
