Beautiful, vibrant color. So soft!It s SO beautiful (I got the rainbow) and the colors are very vibrant. My only disappointment is I thought it was a bit larger. But that s not on them, that s on me for not knowing my measurements . I m excited to see what my nanny kid (girl, 3) does with it.Update: she immediately wanted to lay it on the floor and sort the dinosaurs . We lined them up by color on the silk 5Great fun for peekabooMy daughter loves this at 7 months old. We play peekaboo and hide her toys under it. She also loves chewing on it touching the fabric. She gets really excited and squeals and kicks when I float it onto her head. I love pulling it across her face. I think she likes that it s thin enough where she s not completely blind, and she enjoys seeing the light and colors shine through it 5Beautiful Play SilkOur 6 month old has been going to Gymboree and LOVES parachute time at the end of class. My husband wanted to replicate the experience for her at home and I immediately thought to look for a multi-colored playsilk. I was thrilled to come across Sarah's Silks in my search and her Rainbow Playsilk did not disappoint. Bright colors, light and airy silk but sturdy too (no snags or tears to date). It's large enough for us to both take hold and wave it up and down over our daughter like a little parachute and she goes absolutely crazy for it. She gets excited every time we pull this out for her and throws a small fit when our arms are too tired to continue. I will definitely be purchasing more of these silks for her to play with once she's a little older and able to play with something like this on her own. Huge hit, we will be enjoying it for a long time. 5MISLEADING, ONLY ONE SILKFirst I want to say that this is a beautiful silk, and it's hand stitched. The dye colors are wonderful and my kid already loves it.Unfortunately the photos, and the description were misleading. Usually I look at 5 star and 1 star reviews because they tell me a lot about the item and any problems I might encounter. I didn't do that this time because I figured most would be mistakenly receiving the wrong color or something that would be the postal fault.I will say I am an etsy seller, so I get the price... Makes sense given its a hand sewn item, and probably hand dyed.... BUT, the PRODUCT DESCRIPTION and the PHOTOS are MISLEADING. You only get ONE silk. Not "silks" there is no multiple silks. You get one. It shows very blurry in the picture with the packaging, but you don't really know what it says until you receive it. This would have been fine if I had decided to buy one silk and was expecting to be paying for one silk, but I expected six, given the picture. Now, I will in part accept responsibility for not looking through EVERYTHING... But no one can deny that this is a misleading listing. 1Shockingly awesomeI admit the ads wore me down on this toy . I got one thinking she d play with it for 5 minutes and be done. I was so wrong, she absolutely loved it, and I ve since purchased 2 more. It is great in the bath, river and pool; as well as for dress-up (herself and the dogs) and just plain flying it around behind her. These silks have seen more playtime than her actual toys. It really should have ripped by now and doesn t have a thread out of place. 5Simple and beautiful "toy"This is the second time I have purchased a scarf. I bought one for my infant, and my niece NEVER lets it go when she is at our house. It is amazing. So here I am back for one for my nieces birthday.For some reason these just capture and keep the imagination of all kids frombabies to kindergarteners.I have observed it is a wonderful toy for multi-age interaction as well. My niece likes to float it around over my baby and it is a sweet and gentle game they can play together. Perfect for sibling, or in our case,cousin bonding.I have admired these silks for a long time and it was one of my first purchases when I found out I was pregnant. I suspect we will acquire more as she growd older. 5My daughter s favorite toyI ll admit, I spent way too much money on presents for my 1 year old s first Christmas. Out of all the cool toys, including a Waldorf play kitchen, pikler triangle, Grimm s rainbow, and a Rody horse, this silly playsilk was the immediate favorite. Still to this day, almost a year later, it is by far her favorite toy and gets used for hours every single day. She loves to wear it as a cape, wrap her dolls in, throw or wave it in the air and watch it move almost weightlessly. It s so delicate and soft to touch that she likes to just sit and run it between her hands or wrap it around her body.It s held up beautifully to tons of toddler abuse and even though it has lots of little holes, pulls, and runs, as is the nature of silk, it will still endure for years to come. Almost every friend who has come over has had to buy one for their own toddler as well, so the appeal seems to be pretty universal.Bottom line, it seems expensive for what it is, but they re worth every single penny. 5Beautiful Silks for PlayMy kids have had play silks from Sarah s silks for 6 years. They love them. They are capes, the ocean, beds for stuffed animals, wings, so many things! I have dyed silks myself but the color comes out when I wash them AND they have never been as beautiful as Sarah s silks. I m giving them some new ones for Valentine s Day and Easter. Imaginary play is so good for kids and silks add so much. (And they hardly take up any room!) 5
