    Convenient, good quality, and of course FUN!Good quality, well designed and packaged, and of course such a classic, fantastic game. My husband and I are both Scrabble fanatics. We have the 50th Anniversary turn table edition which we love and use at home, but it's not exactly the most portable thing. We decided to pick up this travel edition after we booked train tickets from NYC to Montreal. It worked perfectly - it fit well on the little fold down tables and the letters interlocked easily keeping them in place. A great purchase and highly recommended for any traveling Scrabble fans! 5Scrabble lovers: this is a little must haveVery impressed with the material and the reasonable compactness/lightness of the whole package. Although the tiles are a tad small, but not uncomfortable to use. The grid has ridges to lock the tiles in, so when you are on the go, you can pack the game and resume when you are at your next stop! My sibblings and me love this game and now we can play whenever we get together and that could be anywhere in the world. Family who play together stay together: so we love the game and couldnt be more pleased with the quality: durable.Obviously, it is not like the quality of the board game: but playing scrabble as a fmaily evokes a lot of wonderful memories. keep the game going and keep the memories coming. 5Decrease in qualityI bought this to replace a set I bought five years ago. The material of the case is cheaper, the logo is made out of fabric instead of the rubber that it was, the zipper does not have the decorative covering that says scrabble, and it does not come with a pencil. Also, the clips do not hold the tile holders in place. The change of the design of the board is nice, but there is an overall decrease in quality which is disappointing considering I paid more for this one. I'm thinking of just continuing to use the old one that has served me for 5 years even though the letters are wearing off. 2Scrabble Folio are great game, but tiles smear quicklyMy husband and I recently bought this game to take with us on a trip to Kauai. We took it on a 10-day trip (along with other games) and noticed as we played it that the tiles were smearing. This is unfortunate, because now it is very difficult to play the game because the letter and/or score is blurred. We checked the Hasbro site and although they sell the tiles and scorecards for the Folio set, it costs just about as much for shipping as the item itself. Also, it appears that this will happen again, so we may continually be replacing the tiles and they are not available in stores or amazon.com. It is an awesome set for travel, but the problem with the tiles is almost a product defect, is why I am giving it a less-than-satisfactory score and review. 3Great for traveling, but not durable, will break easilyLove this thing for traveling, my wife and I bring it to the beach all the time.Pros:- The folio is light and small enough to carry, it's very convenient- The design is well thought out, with storage for everything you need, including a spot for pad and pen- The letters snap in and stay in place (but see below), you can close the folio and resume your game later.- The letter trays also snap close, and there are slots (labeled Player 1, 2, 3, 4) to slide in the tray in so that you can resume your game later.Now for the negatives, which is why I only give it 3 stars. With regular use, this will only last about a year, maybe more/less depending how much you use it. I'm on my third board in ~4 years.Cons:- The letters have little edges that protrude in order for them to snap into the board, well it doesn't take very long for these to start breaking, soon you will have 3 or 4 letters that no longer snap in, and it becomes a pain, when you pass the board to your partner, the letters start falling out- The trays will also break at the hinge, the hinge is EXTREMELY flimsy, it's just a matter of time, one of our sets, all four trays broke within a year.- The letters will start to fade to the point where you can barely see the letter anymore. This is even worse if you wear any type of sunscreen, it seems like sunscreen chemicals really react with the letters quickly and they smudge.So if you are willing to live with the lack of durability like I am, then it's a fun product. Just be aware, you will be replacing it regularly. 3Best Game For On The GoI love scrabble. I love travel scrabble. I brought this on my after-college-big-trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Bali. The letters squeeze into the slots and the whole game folds and packs up nicely so that it easily fits in a book bag, beach bag, or even on the bookshelf. The letters also stay put in case you need to continue a game at a later date or if your in a windy spot outside. One of my favorite things I have ever purchased. 5Travel ScrabbleThe only thing that I don't like about this design is that the tiles are a bit difficult to get out of the little board spaces (magnets would be better). You have to pick each one out individually which is a pretty boring task. Of course, I realize that the purpose of this is so you can stop in the middle of a game, close it up, and then restart later....which we have never found occasion to do. Other than that, it's great to carry in the camper or car, and I like the notebook style case it's in. 4Great travel gameThis is probably the only good travel Scrabble game. All others tend to have pieces that fall off the board, even if they're on a table and slightly bumped. These pieces actually clip in - not too tightly though, and you can easily scratch your fingers across it to dislodge the little tiles (little as in the size of a pinky nail). The tile holders close so even if you drop it, there's a chance your tiles might not fall out - it's not a promise, but better than knowing for sure that your tiles will end up all over the place every time you move around. The only real drawback is the tiny size, but hey, it's a travel game. 4One of the best travel games!I bought this for my daughter because she s taking a really long trip with her husband and this will be very useful in all their travels. She is already used it once and will continue as she likes it very much. 5Seems to be a used board?The board is good minus the fact that this was obviously bought and then returned or was bought and then resold. I say this because there were three score sheets already used when we opened it. Has I known that this was a previously used item then I probably wouldn t have spent so much on it. All the tiles were accounted for and items are all there. Including the three used score sheets... 3
