    Great fun and lots of learning.Without the Snap Circuit Jr. set, there isn't a lot you can build with these. However, once you get the Jr. set, it really does create a lot of wonderful things. My son builds something new almost every day. He really likes anything that has lights and noise, and if they go together, he's all for it. Once we did a couple of projects together, he got the hang of it and started building on his own. I even catch him trying to experiment with his own builds. He is quickly learning what a short circuit is. This is a great way to introduce kids to electronics and is just plain fun.The only thing I would like to see Snap Circuits do is give a bit more of an explanation as to what different parts do. What is a resistor, why use that specific size, and why it goes where it does. 4Excellent upgrade to an already fantastic kit.I bought this as a gift for a 12 year old girl's birthday, whom I bought the SC-100 kit for last year for her birthday. As with the SC-100 kit, she absolutely loves this. The Snap Circuits kits allow one to create electrical circuits and provide a medium with this to visually understand what each part does. Whether it is a capacitor, a resistor, a transistor, you will understand how each piece will alter the flow of electricity. I want one for myself. 5Snap Circuits are awesome!We bought this to add to my 9-year-old son's Snap Circuits Jr. set. Wow, we thought the first set was fun but with this added kit it got even better! He can do this all on his own and has so much fun making things. So far his favorites have been the AM radio and the radio announcer. This keeps him entertained for hours. Although this kit is new he has had snap circuits for six months and he is still playing with them regularly. This is a GREAT toy for a kid interested in building or science. I LOVE THIS TOY! 5Snap Circuits- A great educational "toy"My 5 year old grandson wanted the Snap Circuit SC-100 so I gave it to him for Christmas. He enjoyed it so much he asked for this upgrade kit for his 6th birthday in June. Although he can't read the instructions he follows the illustrations included in each "experiment". When something doesn't quite work the way it should, he''ll seek help from an adult. This however is becoming less frequent. Snap circuits hold his interest for hours. It's a marvelous educational "toy". 5Sturdy and funLove that we can add onto the first Snap Circuit set we bought, instead of being forced to buy another larger set with many duplicate pieces. Our son, age 7 loves this, as does his 10 yr. old sister. They've followed the project manual and designed their own projects as well. Sturdy and has held up to their abuse. Nice reusable cardboard box with molded storage for all the pieces. 5The kids love learning and building circuits with theseThe kids love learning and building circuits with these. I am looking to buy more kits. A great way to teach a child the basics of an electrical circuit (maybe some adults too). We enjoy building the projects together. We did the first 20 together and then the next thing I know they are completing projects on their own. This is an expansion pack and requires the SC-100 to build any of the projects. Great fun alternative to building blocks. 5What a real toy should beBought this (along with the basic kit) for my five-year old nephew for Christmas. The game said it is for kids age 8 and up, so I thought it was something his mom and dad could play with him. Boy was I wrong. Within minutes of opening the box he had all the pieces out and was building his first design. The instruction manual is laid out exceptionally well and easy to follow, so he had no difficulty putting together multiple projects before the end of the day. The look on his face when he had completed a project and turned an alarm off or made a fan spin was simply priceless. It is great to see kids learning and building things instead of sitting in front of a screen mesmerized for hours on end.If you want to see your kid tap into his or her creativity and have loads of fun in the process, Snap Circuits is the way to go. 5Wonderful for curious mindsMy six year old son received the Jr kit for Christmas and had a ball with it. His birthday rolled around this month and I decided to get him this upgrade kit. I wasn't sure if he'd enjoy it even though he really liked the Jr kit. But boy was I wrong as soon as he opened it he was absolutely excited. He immediately went to work building and trying different things. He also had no idea expansion kits existed and now he wants more of them! I highly recommend for children even if they don't seem particularly interested in the subject i think that the way it is presented encourages creativity while learning. One thing to note. This kit comes with an AM transmitter some of the projects involve transmitting sound effects over AM frequency. If you have a small am/fm radio laying around pop some batteries in it and provide the child with it for said projects. 5Needed to Expand One of his Favorite Toys!We bought this for my son's birthday after he played with his original set over and over again at Christmas time. It was definitely is favorite toy. This may be a bit on the pricey side compared with other toys, but the educational value and fun make it worth the little bit extra. We will probably find another upgrade kit to add to the set after this. 5Added Snap!This kit is for kids who already have Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100, and have completed all 101 experiments from the enclosed booklet.What you get:More snap wire connections, including one with 7 snaps.
