Beware Inconsistent Hardware (and Short Bolts) and No Customer ServiceI ordered 2 bags of these holds, because I'm making a big 8' x 8' climbing wall on the outside of my garage for my kids. The 2 bags have different size bolts!!! The holds look sturdy and the bolts look good enough (assuming you are using less than a 1" board). I mounted one hold and it seems solid. But how can they sell me 2 of the same product with different size bolts in each one!! Of course there is no number to contact Squirrel Products or BOM Exclusives. I tried emailing Squirrel Products, but so far no reply. Amazon has offered a return. This is all a waste of my time. 2Great item that kids love. Instructions are not the best installation methodThese are great and sturdy for the kids. My son loves his new Rock wall that he calls his climb to Mars. Only issue was during installation. The instructions ask for us to tap the back "nuts" into the pre-drilled holes and then send the bolts through. That did not work out so I found it best to put the bolts in first and then screw on the nuts. After that make sure the bolts and nuts are tightened into the wall appropriately. Otherwise the bolt and "nut" have a very hard time lining up correctly through a 3/4 or thicker piece of wood. 5LOVE THESE!!!!!Perfect for my 4yrs & 7yrs old daughters hands and feet!!! Just like the playground styles in our community and like the ones you see on bigger play systems. Durable, bright and cute. We used 1x6 Douglas fir wood on our rock wall and they fit just fine with the original provided hardware. We hammered the T nuts into the back first where the holes where for each screw. Anything bigger then 1x6 wood would need the bigger hardware they offer if you email. We however didn't need that. 5Very good holders, except the hardware (Low quality T Nuts).Wondering what to do with the boards and hardware used to protect your home from the hurricane Dorian? here is my idea! my daughters are 3 and 6 years old with no climbing experience and that is the reason I installed a lot of these holders. I like the colors and the size of the holders. I used them on boards 1 1/2 in. (Thickness) x 5 3/8 in (W). 8 ft (L) with M8 Zinc T nuts and M8 1.25 x50 SHCS from Fastenal and the washers that came with the original low quality hardware (Specially the T nuts, really bad T nuts). 1. Spray paint the boards and let them dry for 48 hours (There is no smell). 2. Locate the studs on your wall and mark them, usually they are every 16 inches apart. 3. Use a 3/8 drill bit and drill the holes ( Use the holders and mark the holes on the board, remove the holders and drill the holes as many as you want). 4. Install the T nuts with a hammer.5. Install the holders to the board with a 6 mm T handle and install the board to the wall using 2-7/8 model # FMHLGM278-500 Heavy duty fastener and 3 inches screws and have fun!I will recommend this product. 4These are a FANTASTIC deal! These were perfect for the rock wall my husband built for my son. very sturdy, hardware included. Fairly easy to install. (easiest with two people)I really am very pleased with these ,we have gotten several people ask where we bought them! 5Great quality, quick to installBought these to add a climbing wall to the side of my kids play fort. I bought two packages for a wall about 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Turns out I only needed one package.They install really quick and easy. My 8 year old helped me install most of them. They have been hanging all summer with out any broken ones or loose ones. My only caution would be that spiders like to make their homes in the hole on the front of it. Spray them down with some type of spider repellant or fill the hole in with silicon if it is going to be a permeant installation. 5My girls absolutely love these.My girls absolutely love these. I mounted them on 1x6's and it was quite easy. You wouldn't want any material thicker than that though or you will not be able to mount them with the provide hardware. Stay away from the decking thick boards, they will be a hair too thick to mount these on. I've climbed the wall myself (I'm a heavier person) and have not had any issue with holding on to these. It's also a lot cheaper on Amazon than buying at Home Depot. 5Level 10 Uncle-ing UNLOCKED!Great stuff, easy to put together, super sturdy. The wield nuts have good teeth that lock into your climbing wall. Built an A-frame (mobile) wall with rocks on both sides for my nephew. Used outdoor paint with some sand in it (mostly intended for outdoor steps etc.) to add a little more grip to the wall.In short, great holds, good quality, arrived on time. Would definitely buy again. Hmmm... maybe I need a climbing wall in my kitchen. Some of those cupboards are up pretty high... 5The rocks were super easy to installI purchased these Rock Climbing Holds for a tree fort I built for my kids. I was able to frame the wall portion up with 5/4" decking lumber (the hex head bolts aren't long enough to go through 2" thick lumber), drill the appropriate holes, and mount the rocks. I was surprised to see a hex wrench included in the parts bag - a bonus! In minutes my kids were climbing to their hearts content. The rocks were super easy to install, and are heavy enough they look like they will last a long time. I only used 19 of them, as I wanted an extra in case one gets damaged (it doesn't look like they will break, but I didn't want to take any chances). 5Best price and quality anywhere!These holds are the best quality for the price that you will find.I searched the internet for over a week trying to find the best holds for the best deal and these were by far the best price that I found.I ordered 2 sets for our wall in the basement and it was the perfect amount of holds.My two boy's age 2 and 4 both can climb up and down and love it!The holds are super strong and hold my husband who weighs 190 lbs and they still feel strong.The holds are hard plastic so climbing up them in bare feet do hurt a bit and my kids prefer to wear there shoes, so that is kind of a pain but I'm hoping that their feet will get used to it.I'm so happy with these holds and my kids approved as well! 5
