these are quite nice. The font is large and easy to readOverall, these are quite nice. The font is large and easy to read. The context sentences on the back make these much easier to use with your child than ones with a different word in each side.Minor negatives: I wish these were laminated for durability. Also, you cannot put all the cards back in the box if you put cards on a ring.The biggest negative to this set is words with "fi" or "ff" are not readable. The crossbar from the f is excessively long and runs into the dot on the i (obliterating readability of the word) or the following f. This only affects the cards for "first", "find", and "off". This doesn't ruin the usability of the set, but was somewhat frustrating. 4Great flash cardsLove the flash cards just what I needed to get my son on his way to reading 5Love it!I remember the old days of flashcards written on 3x5 index cards. They are no match for these sturdy flash cards and they come in a ring which holds them together. I love how thick they are, the large easy to read print and one side with a word and the backside has a sentence.The only issue is that the I is too close with the previous letter so spacing would alleviate that issue.Overall pretty happy with this product. 4Love these!I bought these for my daughter who is in the first grade and she absolutely loves them. The rings they come with make it easy to keep track of them, unlike previous flash cards I bought that end up all over and lost. I have another daughter in K who loves to go through them with her big sister and learn as well. I thought there might be a chance the girls would wouldn't like them after a while but they continue to take them with us and practice in the car and at home. Durable stock, the rings keep them all together instead of scattered everywhere and lost.Love that the sight word is used in a sentence on the back reinforcing all sight words.My grandaughter is in the 1st grade and took the original set home w her, so I'm getting another set for my house. 5Wonderful sight-word flashcards for Aphasia patientMy husband, who is over 80 years old, had a major stroke which affected his speech and reading capabilities. The flashcards are perfect for him to identify commonly used words, so he can build up his reading skills. He says the words out loud, and reads the words on the back of the cards, in the context of a sentence. I then cover one word, and I have him substitute any word he can think of to complete the thought. We then move on to reading short paragraphs in a third grade comprehension workbook. He recognizes the sight words from the flashcards, and is able to more easily read actual informative sentences. It seems the little words like "the", "is", "here", "where" etc, are the hardest for him. I love the fact that these flash cards are on rings. They are so easy to store and use. We love to use them. 5Absolutely love this productAbsolutely love this product. The rings make it easy to keep up with the cards and are perfect for road trips. They are sturdy and the black and white don't distract from the words. Unlike other flash cards where the pictures pretty much tell them what the word is and they really don't learn phonetically. My grandchildren are learning new words and that's always amazing! 5Portable!Love these flash cards! Word on one side and an example sentence of word usage on the flip side. I'm able to carry these in my mom bag for down time moments while running errands or just waiting for our turn (ER, Dr. Office, post office, restaurants). I bought these for my 5yr old and he has 75% memorized now. I love that they come with two rings! You're able to organize them according to knowledge. No need to repeat words they know. Cards have big bold print and while they are not flimsy they are not bullet proof either. You can wipe off spills/grubby fingerprints. So far none have ripped off the ring, which has surprised me with how much abuse the cards get (4 boys ages 3-9 years of age). My older sons enjoy quizzing him and it can get wild. We've come up with a speed game that gets loud/borderline obnoxious but it's educational so I can't complain. 5So far so good.So far so good. I have not really started using them yet, but I did go through our school's First 300 Sight Words and had to put all the cards in order of first 100, second 100, and third 100 based on this list. That took me the better part of an hour with so many to go through. I kind of wish the job was already done for me! Then I certainly would have given it a 5 star rating. But, as it is, I like the words on one side and the sentences on the other. 4Sturdy, durableVery sturdy. This is for my first (of 4) son who is learning new words all the time. I wanted them to be durable enough to last until boy #4 needs them! :) they seem like they will. And the 2 rings that come with it are nice too. The only complaint I have (and I don't know if all the boxes are like this or if I got a messed up one) is that over 1/2 of the cards have the words in a different direction that the others. So we have to turn the cards 180 to read them in the same order as the others. Not the end of the world as I have 2 rings to keep them separate. I would buy again or refer people to these. 5
