    Decent option for building swing setIn the end, I built a very good swing set with this (and the EZ brackets, which are a separate item. I really think you need all four of these brackets, and four of the other EZ brackets as well.The directions advocate building the swing set on its side and then righting it. If, like me, you decided to make the swing set a bit taller than was recommended, this righting process probably won't work. I sank the legs in concrete, and the set is on a very slight incline. The first time I tried to assemble the product, the combination of a very tall structure (the legs were nine feet long to account for a foot and a half to be sunk in the concrete and a seven and a half tall set). This combined with the slight slope of the land resulted in a huge, heavy structure momentarily in freefall. When the thing landed, the stresses popped the heads off the screws and the entire thing went down as I ran for my life.So I bought everything again and started over. This time, I assembled the "A"s, then attached the cross beam to one, and then climbed a ladder and put the other "A" under it. The Assemble-and-then-Right method may work for a shorter swing set, but I recommend my technique for anything larger.4Not sure about this one.We bought two sets of these for a swingset we built for our grandson. That was a year ago but this summer we noticed that one set was fine andlooked good while the other was rusted profusely. It looked years old rather than months. Then we noticed that they were not from the samepattern and so may have been from different companies, not sure. For that reason we cannot recommend this set as we are not sure fromwhere the product actually comes.3These work as advertised. A very small mistake on ...These work as advertised. A very small mistake on drilling the holes can make a large angle change. No instructions. There is also a metal piece in the middle of the frame that is hard to see in the picture and is sold separately. Use 4x4 legs 4x6 top.5Not a great design.These are not a bad option to make A frame based swing set. However, be warned that you should use a drill press on the top cross beam to insure that bolts line up with the opposite brace. I didn't have one and made a jig instead to help me drill square and level. Came out fine but it took me a lot longer that I planned. I don't think I would use these again.3Easy to installWorks as expected5Five StarsThese keep everything stable with much less wobble. Worth the money.5Does the trick - solid.I was worried about my home made swingset not holding up to my large frame, especially after a coworker told a story about his coming down on him and a trip to the hospital. I added these brackets as an extra precaution, and I am glad I did. The beam seems super solid now - I can hang on it and shake it every which way (I'm about 260#) and it feels solid as a rock. I can now feel confident about swinging on the set with my kids with no worries.5Works GreatWorks great to help reinforce the playground swing set. Good quality.5Gets the job done.Used with the other angle brackets that they are designed to work with for the front and back support. If you look closely at the picture you can see that one in the shadows there. A little pricey but they help get everything tightened up and safely secured. We only have two swings on our swing bar and these are plenty sturdy and solid for the 4 x 6 to 4 X 4 joint. Like others have said, you will need your own hardware. For the angle bracket I used lag screws and decking screws for the small holes. For this we just went with lag screws. They have been in use for almost a full season of summer and winter and show no signs or rust or wear.4Still looking good a year laterWe purchased these last year to go on a huge swingset that my husband designed and built himself. It holds 4 swings that are constantly being used at the same time so we needed a heavy duty brace to keep the whole thing from twisting and warping every time the kids use it. I'm incredibly happy to say that over a year later and they are still looking good and doing their job well! I would happily purchase these again. If we ever needed to build another swingset!5
