    If you want cheap made in China toys that fail on day 1 you have found it!!!!If you want cheaply made China stuff you have found it! The poor quality of this unit really shines through as the stitching on your duck will have it guts coming out after just a day of play. Also you will never get this duck to even sit because its great designers did not think at all and made it rounded on the bottom. So it will always be laying down. The shipping on this item from China cost more than the item itself and it truly shows.Bonus!!! You will also have the stitching coming out on the beak so it insides can come out that way as well! Dual action! 1Sounds like a real Blue Jay, but we don't have to feed it!Our dog groomed the plush "fur" off his first Blue Jay, so we bought this replacement for him. It's his absolute all-time favorite toy and we like it too as the cry is authentic. 5Stopped working after a few hours. Can't return. ***Updated!My boy who loves birds was so happy to get this gift for his birthday! It's so soft, and he was excited to try to "talk" to the real birds in the back yard. The sound was right on. However, after a few hours, the voice box stopped working. We've bought other birds from them that have worked for years, despite being abused, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to return and get a replacement for this mute bird. When I clicked on the return button Amazon says it's not eligible for a return. Now I've got one very disappointed boy.***update, contacted Wild Republic directly and they are sending me a replacement free of charge!! 5Amazing productFirst thing I noticed was how close this stuffed goose resembled the real thing. Second, the sound effect was so realistic. And third, there was no way for the batteries to be removed. All three demands of mine has been met. Now I purchase a lot of duck and geese related items for the baby shower of my niece, my brother finally got a girl who though he was decent and good looking enough to reproduce with. So while I was confused on what Auntie of the year was going to give to my first born niece, I remembered all the years growing up where my brother tormented and made fun of. Then it dawned on me! I was going to gift all duck and geese related things to my niece so she will grow up loving them. Why you ask? Well I will share a story. Long ago, back in the mid 90 s my grandmother took my brother and I to the local duck pond to let us feed the ducks bread. I, obviously the intelligent one, knew to throw the bread as far away as I could away from me. My brother, a few fries short of a happy meal, threw it at his feet. Before he knew it all these mystical, beautiful beasts of the pond surrounded him. I remember him mocking me, you aren t cool the ducks don t like you . And I can remember clearly him saying I AM THEIR GOD. Then karma happened. All my Sunday school teaching happened as I sat in the car with my grandmother waiting for this false duck god to finish his loaf of bread it happened. Our almighty creater from above, the real God, spoke There is no true God but me and just like that my brother ran out of bed. These geese, realized he had no bread and he was a false prophet started to chant their battle cry! Next thing I knew, my brother started to get attacked by a mob of geese. Now he s banging at my grandmother s car door to let him in but she still laughing so hard she couldn t reach over to unlock the door. (We didn t have power doors during this time) I could of easily reached over and unlocked the door, but I sat back and watched this biblical lesson unfold in front of my eyes. Did you know geese have teeth on their tongue? He found out that day Eventually my grandma let him in and they surrounded the car for a good 10 minutes before they left to stalk their new prey.That day I almost became an only child and that day changed my brother forever.So yes this stuffed geese and all the other geese and duck related items from this seller is worth the money. It was amazing seeing a grown mad cowering in fear as he unwrapped every single duck and goose at his baby shower. His child is going to befriend the very creatures that almost murdered him in cold blood over a loaf of bread.10/10 will buy from again. 5It s a great toy, but... I usually get annoyed when people give low star ratings for seemingly stupid things. This item should be given a five star rating, as there s nothing wrong with it, it s well-made, end it does exactly what it s advertised to do. However, I ve been teaching my kids about the Chickedee and obviously doing it s iconic call, you know the one that it s named after. So I was a little bit annoyed and surprised that this toy makes the fee be song. So there you have it, I took away a star because I think the song should be chick-a-de-de. 4Soft and cute, sound lasted about 18 months, replacing batteries didn t fix the problemCute and great for play for nature loving kiddos. It lasted almost a year and a half before it stopped making sounds. Determined to fix it , I ve opened the seam to get to the sack with a noise making box out. Unfortunately, replacing the batteries didn t fix the problem. I ve checked the wiring and everything seems to be intact, so it appears that the mechanism is broken. I m very sad about it. The kids played relatively gently with it, but perhaps a little over a year it is its limit. Still a great plush toy to snuggle and play after the sounds stops working, just a little disappointing because the sound is its biggest selling point for me. 4Poor QualityStopped working after a couple of days. I have purchased several of these birds over the years. The sound used to last several years before the battery died. Now about 1 in 2 stop working after a few days or is dead on arrival. I don't think it is the battery because I replaced the battery on a recent purchase and it still didn't work. However, I replaced the battery on one I had about 10 years and it worked fine. The box that contains the battery on the newer ones is cheaply made and easily breakable. If you look at it head on the eyes are all derpy as one sits back further than the other. The sounds it makes or I should say sound. It only has one sound it plays so should say "with a real bird call" its also painfully loud too like louder than an actual bird making the sound. But in the end it makes for a cute little toy for the cat to wrestle around with and dont have to worry about the sound constantly going off since its hard to push the button 3Cheap...I purchased this after being impressed with others (same brand, different birds) at an office I was waiting in. Those were very fluffy and soothing to listen to. But the quality has gone seriously downhill. The fabric, while being soft, is thin and cheap, like something you would get out of a happy meal. It s under stuffed, so you can feel the sound box. And the sound is hands-down awful! It s too loud, so you get that weird static that comes from a stressed speaker... AND it s just a 1 second sound, which was obviously cut from a longer multi-bird call, so you can hear the abrupt stop of the second bird. I have a chickadee ring tone on my phone, which is several seconds long (closer to nature AND the idler birds I played with in the waiting room) and just lovely, so it wouldn t have been difficult to increase the length of the call to a natural, complete length. We re they trying to save battery power by shortening the call? As it stands, my bird sounds more like a stressed bird that gets suddenly eaten. :( Not really what I was going for, so two stars. I ve ordered an older model on eRay. Hopefully that one sings better. 2Cute stufftie, sound needs to last longerReally cute eagle but the sound stopped working after a few weeks. We were sent a replacement and the sound stopped working on that one after just a few days. (This is for a nearly four year old child with special needs who can barely squeeze the eagle himself and needs help to make him make noise, and we, his parents, can no longer make either bird make noise; we ll end up being charged for the replacement because we have another child with special needs who was upset when it turned out that there were two eagles and he wasn t going to have one- so yay, full price for two broken toys with hard lumps in them since there is no way to remove the sound pieces without ripping open the seams and stitching them back up again.)More than one star because it still is cute for what it is and the sound was cute while it lasted, even though it was a ridiculously short period of time. 2
