    Keeps my dice on the table!Exactly as pictured. Other reviewers have stated it has glue on the felt or nails sticking out of the bottom. Not the case here. Some say it's loud when rolling? As compared to what? Rolling dice on a metal trash can lid? It's not loud at all. If you want quiet dice rolls, roll them on a pillow! It's top notch craftsmanship, nice weight and large. I love it. 5Great gift for a gamerI don't know how we got by without this product for so long. Whenever we play games, the dice are always going everywhere - on the floor, under the table, in the cracks of the couch. We get pretty animated. Normally, we require the dice to go into the lid of the game for them to count. But usually the lid is so big, it gets awkward. But this dice tray is just the right size. We keep it on the table, and our dice are much happier.They say that a good gift is something that you wouldn't buy yourself but you are glad you have. Well, this is a really great gift for a gamer if they don't already have one.On a final note, there are no staples coming out of the bottom (or even visible on the bottom) of the tray, so they must have changed the design since all the bad reviews about this previously. 5great trays, just be careful of sharp points on the bottomThis is a great size, the walls are nice & high (though it doesn't 100% prevent enthusiastic rolls from escaping). The only problem is that it has 8 nails/tacks sticking out from the bottom. Not sure what that is about, but it did scratch my husbands desk & when he had the two we bought stacked on top of each other for storage, the one on the top gouged the bottom one pretty bad. I will be taking a dremel to them. It's not something that makes it worth returning, just be aware of the surfaces the tray rests on & grind the offending points down if necessary. We ended up needing to grind 4 of 8 on one tray, and 7 of 8 on the other. 4Don't know how we gamed without this trayThis fits easily in a messenger bag or tote bag, is very sturdy and well-constructed, and fits nicely in the center of our table. It's also easy to pass around when you have a lot of people. It does an excellent job of preventing cocked or runaway dice, helps everybody see exactly what was rolled, and prevents that annoying dice-on-table clicky-clacky noise. I thought this was sort of frivolous when I saw it, but it is TOTALLY worth it. I don't know how we got through gaming before this! 5I found the wood to look very nice, but the felt had dried glue across the ...Upon receipt of the item, I found the wood to look very nice, but the felt had dried glue across the center. The item was a gift and I didn't have time to sent it back for an exchange (and not knowing if the new one would be any better) and since the wood was in good shape, so I just brought a new piece of felt and glued it over the original one. The item works great for dice of all sizes and my son really liked it. 3Works great.Me and my friends have used this quite a few times now and we love it. We get much less bounce outs than we did using the lid of the games we play, and the dice make less noise. I almost didn't buy this because I saw people complaining about staples in the bottom. They either stopped using staples, never used staples, or it takes a while for the staples to become a problem because I can't even find them. I have felt around, but the bottom of the tray is covered in black felt and I haven't been able to locate any staples at all, much less ones that would scratch a table. 5A quality gaming accessoryI love playing games with friends and family. And a lot of those games involve dice. Yet as we all know, depending on your playing surface, there always seems to be some annoying issue with die rolls. From dice bouncing off the table from an enthusiastic toss to dice that seem to "slide" on the surface rather than tumbling.Well I had no idea something like this existed until a coworker of mine purchased a similar item and showed it off at work. I had to have one.Admittedly, I was a little nervous about purchasing this particular item due to a couple reviews bringing up issues with the quality. But as it was under $20, I decided to take a chance.When the tray finally arrived, to my relief I discovered that there were no issues. In fact, it was quite solidly built. Everything fit together snuggly, with nothing loose or fraying. I was quite happy and felt like my gamer geekiness had advanced a level. And my friends were suitably impressed when I pulled this out for our next gathering. Our gaming just got serious.The best part, aside from not losing dice under your chair anymore, is that you can bounce the dice off the bumpers to get some real satisfying rolls. Much better than a box lid.I will admit that this tray does take up a bit of space, which might be a concern for people with smaller tables. But this thing is portable and can be easily moved or passed around.If you love gaming--whether it's tabletop rpgs, board games, or anything involving dice, you owe it to yourself to purchase this product. You won't be disappointed. 5Excellent Product With No Sharp Protrusions on the BottomI was hesitant to purchase this because other reviewers indicating that something sharp protruded through the bottom. I was hopeful, however, since later reviews indicated that the product did not have sharp protrusions and guessed that maybe the product was revised to address that issue. After receiving the product, I think, too, that the product was fixed. There are no protrusions on the bottom and the bottom is a flat black "hardish" material.The wood did not have any nicks on it, as another reviewer mentioned...I was thankful for this, too.I decided to get the octagonal version of this versus the round version since the octagonal version offers another (approximate) inch of space for the interior where you roll the dice. The area is a great size.Prior to using this, we used box tops, which typically had deep sides of 2 to 3 inches thick. When someone rolled their dice, everyone gathered round to see the results. With this, you don't have to crowd over the dice-roller to see the results and, at the same time, the sides are high enough to keep the dice in the unit.When this isn't in use, I intend to keep it in the box for protection. I would certainly recommend this product. 5works well and I prefer this round designI bought this product for use during tabletop RPG sessions. I had one particular player that was a really reckless dice thrower for some reason and this helped keep dice off the floor. I've also ended up using it for board games such as King of Tokyo. I really like the round design as opposed to a hex. The circle seems like it keeps the dice rolling more freely than if it had a bunch of corners. It's lightweight, so it's easy to just pass the whole tray from player to player. I've used this to play games with people sitting on the carpet or rolling dice with this on their lap while on a sofa. I've had this product for several months and it has stayed in good condition. It is a bit clunky to stick in a backpack, so I don't usually pack it along to-go unless I'm bringing along other board games. 5This dice tray is excellent, and exactly what I neededThis dice tray is excellent, and exactly what I needed. The base is covered in a nice black felt, so there is no hardware protruding that might scratch your table (it seems this used to be a problem in earlier versions of this product) and it is large enough to take HUGE dice-pools without dice bouncing out or flying off the table. I bought this specifically to play "Exalted" where rolling 20+ dice on a single action is an every day occurrence. It is visually pleasing and does its job. Money well spent, and I recommend this to anyone who is tired of chasing rogue dice flying off their table. Great construction and great product. 5
