    Plain-Jane set that gets the job done!I paid only $30.00 for my set plus Super Saver Shipping (when this option was available). Got it two days before the estimated due date from coast to coast.I drop a point for the tile set's durability due to the vinyl case. Though it has button snaps and a handle for carrying with one hand, I still recommend moving this set with two.As prior reviewer Tina Cheng states, there are no individual trays to place tiles for storage. So a little more time is required to store the tiles in the case.Though optional, I recommend having 4 blank spares instead of 2 for those who prefer to play the blank tiles without the rectangular frames, akin to older sets.I've had sets with blue inks instead of black (for winds, myriads, and framed blanks). Though I can play with either blue and/or black inks, IMHO the black looks more professional.Overall, this set will do the job for mainline rule sets that utilize 136 or all 144 tiles. For those who use red-5 tiles for riichi, paint three tiles instead of investing in another set.This is my being picky here, so this won't affect my rating the product. I like how the orchid tile has the traditional han instead of the simplified. However, the western numbers for the 8 bonus tiles should instead be han. IMO it looks more authentic that way.Overall 19/20P.S. I am from western New Hampshire. If anyone knows of any mahjong groups (Asian styles only) around here, please comment. Thanks. 5Beautiful Mahjong setThis is a Christmas gift for my grandson's girlfriend. It's a beautiful set and very good quality. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it on Christmas morning. 5A great starter set for a fantastic priceSome of the symbols are different then the Mahjong that I play on my iPad but with the booklet it is very easy to pick up the differences and learn the changes quickly. The tiles themselves are of fine quality and very heavy duty. The case makes it compact enough to travel with so that my family can play it while on vacation. All in all very are very satisfied with the product. 5Perfect Size and weightPerfect Size and weight! Very beautiful design. Be warned, this does not have the American style where there are numbers on the tile when it is a Chinese symbol so it takes a few rounds of getting used to. 5Lovely and they work great!These are beautiful tiles. High quality, beautiful colors, smooth and comfortable in the hand. Not too heavy but a nice solid feel. The case does the job for at home storage but I'm not sure it would hold up to a lot of transit. But the tiles are very lovely, durable and high quality. 5Solid Mahjong SetThe mahjong set is heavy, solid, and generally pretty standard. It is pretty much as it is described in the product description. There's dice, a wind changer, and two blank extra tiles. The only problem I have with the set is that I did not realize that it did not include trays to hold the tiles, which I thought came with all sets. Creates a some extra trouble, but overall I'm just happy to be able to play mahjong! 4Great Tiles, no traysQuick shipping. It almost compares exactly to our majhong set that my Father in law picked up in China. I would give just the tile 5 stars, good weight and size has indentation in the tiles so the markings stays on when shuffling the tile. The case is flimsy, and I deducted a star because there is no tray for the tiles. I'm not sure how long the case will last without trays for the tiles so all the tiles might not have a home when the case falls apart. Otherwise very nice set and will be a great gift to give. 4Great qualityQuality game and the case is very handy! My only problem was the poor quality wind dial, which was pretty cheaply made and fell apart. Otherwise pretty happy with my purchase. 4Wonderful Mahjong Set This product is exactly what I asked and paid for. I was afraid the size wouldn't be right, but it's perfect! It is a bit heavy so I can see the plastic handle breaking in a little while, as said in another review. I'll just make a strap to go around the case.The colors and paint job are nicely done, and so far, no scratched pieces. Always wanted to buy a set and now that I can play, I'm happy with the results. I highly recommend!! 5
