    Cute addition to our toy kitchen!! This is a child sized washing machine. It is so cute. I bought this for my 3 year old that loves to play in her toy kitchen with her baby doll. She "washes" a handful of newborn socks in it. You do NOT add water to it. It comes with a tiny laundry basket and a box labeled laundry soap. If you add batteries, it lights up, makes noise, and spins. There is a hand crank you can turn if it doesn't have batteries it in. The hand crank needs to be pulled off if you use batteries. My daughter opens it while it is spinning and it doesn't hurt anything. It stops spinning while the door is open. It doesn't actually wash clothes. Super cute and worth the money! 5Really neat and durable toyI bought this toy as a birthday gift for my washing machine obsessed 2 year old--we literally cannot get him to leave our laundry room alone. When he opened this his eyes lit up and he sat there playing with it for three hours straight (no joke). The key is the machine actually spins, which is what is going to keep any toddler or kid engaged. Every time we have a friend over, they are enamored with it.When I saw it took C batters (3), I was worried that we would be burning through them, but after a month of heavy use (it is used every day), we still haven't had to replace them. It has also been dragged around, dropped, stepped on, filled with onion powder (don't ask), and a cup of water and it is still going strong. That's not really a common situation in this day and age with toys. 5I think that the battery consumption was pretty fair. My son has been playing with it ...My son loves this toy, I think that the battery consumption was pretty fair. My son has been playing with it non stop for a little less than a month when the battery finally went out, considering that the washing machine toy actually spins, makes noise and lights up, I thought that was pretty good. I would recommend buying some rechargeable C batteries along with this toy, if your child enjoys it as much as my son does, you'll be going through those batteries pretty quickly. 5Best Appliance Toy Ever! Buy This! Realistic Detailed Features, Superior Quality, No Mess!This is my son's new favorite toy! I got it for my 4 year old for a Christmas present, and I'm just now getting around to writing a review. I can honestly say this is one of the best toys that I've ever bought, and my son certainly agrees. It's super sturdy and tough. My son goes hard on his toys, and this toy hasn't even shown a hint of a sign of stress. The features are what makes this item so awesome. First, the inside really spins - in the manner like a front-loading dryer does if it had a window. The little window allows them to watch the "clothes" tumble inside. It does have a small loading capacity, and he usually puts a few of his toddler socks, or a couple wash cloths, or a single 4T shirt inside - but there isn't room for much. It has four cycles to choose from that sound totally realistic: Fill, Wash, Eco Wash, and Spin. You can really make this thing sound like a real washing machine filling with water and then going through the cycles (of couse, it isn't made to use real water). I'm not sure if it will change cycles on its own (i.e. Fill to Wash) because my son loves to push the buttons and is way to impatient to wait it out. I also don't know how long the sound effects will play because he is so busy with it, but I can tell you that they will play a good length of time. It is made of sturdy plastic and is actually a little heavy. My 4 year old can carry it around, but he struggles a little due to the weight. It is all plastic and is not built with any cardboard or other cheap materials. It has a manual option - and by that I mean there is a removable hand crank on the back that could be used if there were no batteries to turn the clothes inside. It also has a little drawer that pulls out on the front that is for "loading the washing powder". Mine came with a little cardboard box that reads "Automatic Washing Powder" and a tiny little round laundry basket. It didn't come with any doll clothing like the photos, but I never thought it was supposed to. The laundry basket is super small, maybe two or three toddler socks can fit. I've ordered the Melissa and Doug laundry accessories kit/toy to go with it. Overall, this toy is super tough, suprisingly sturdy and well-made, and has awesome features - all the features you can think that a toy washing machine should have (other than using real water which I'm so glad it doesn't!). If you have a kid that gets excited when you do laundry or likes appliance toys, buy this. You can't be disappointed. And I am am actual customer who paid full retail price and the item was not on sale or discounted for me. 55 starsMy daughter loves it and I do too :) 5Love itBaha got this for my scentsy display an the washer was a huge hit! Had 5 people offering me $$ bc they thought it really washed clothes! I wanted something to catch attention & it worked! 5A good toy but the motorized spinning drum isn t very durable.My son loved it and used it quite a bit washing his old socks and clothes from some of his toys. Sadly about a month and a week or so after we bought it the drum stopped turning on its own. You can still use the crank on the back to manually spin the drum. And it still makes all the sounds and lights up. But the drum no longer spins on it s own. I tried changing batteries. If you help it get started after pushing one of the wash buttons by cranking it once or twice manually sometime it will spin a bit but you can hear the motor making a noise that sounds like it is struggling to complete the cycle.So a good toy, still fun to play with. But I am disappointed the motorized spinning drum gave out so soon. (And only days after we were eligible to return or exchange it via Amazon).Edit:After contacting the company, Camdon Toys via email, they have offered to send us a replacement. They responded to my emails within an hour or so after I sent it. They were courteous and went through some trouble shooting steps with me. When those did not work they offered to send us a replacement free of charge.If the new Washer works better and doesn t experience the same malfunction in a month or two I will happily raise my review score to a 4 out of 5. 3Does not come with batteries. Needs 3 C batteries Precious little mini play washer. Fast shipment. Washer did not work until I used a screw driver in the center spindle by losening the back screw after that it worked like a charm! 5I am very happy with this purchaseI bought this for my sensory seeking son. He is always asking to do laundry and loves watching the rotating drum and listening to the sounds. Since we can't be downstairs in our basement 24/7 I had hoped this would do the trick. He loves it. The drum spins for him to watch and the sounds are very realistic. Comes with a basket but for some reason my son believes it is suppose to go inside the machine so I wish it were too big to fit in. I am very happy with this purchase. 5AWESOME!!!!! We love it Highly recommend this toy washing machine it makes real sound and it really spends you can use batteries or use the crank but it is better with the sound effects my daughters loved it comes with the basket for their little clothes and toys detergent highly recommended perfect size you can really add clothes in there I would buy it again!
