    Description

    • Tire swing fits up to three children; tire diameter is approximately 27"
    • Swing chains are approximately 66" long; bottom 30" of chain is coated in yellow plastisol for a soft, pinch-free grip
    • PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS: Tire Swing is pre-drilled with 3 evenly spaced small holes on the top side for the placement of swing chains and 4 larger holes on the bottom side to allow for the drainage of water. DO NOT attempt to connect the chains to the side with four holes; flip the tire over to locate the 3 smaller, holes for the connection of the swing chains.
    • Attaches to most swing beams up to 9' high and features 2/0 swing chains that are zinc-coated
    • Tire swing requires minor assembly, mounts to a wooden swing set easily with Eastern Jungle Gym's Heavy-Duty Tire Swivel (sold separately)

    Awesome Tire Swing!Kids love this! The item arrived pretty quickly. It comes with all of the hardware and chains required for use but you do have to put it together. I used a deep socket wrench and it took me less than ten minutes. Many people have complained about the "4 holes for 3 chains". Those four holes are four drainage (rain water). If you turn the tire over, there are three hole punches, pre-drilled for the chain mounting brackets. They're a little hard to see but they exist. Don't let those negative reviews deter you from this product. Safe, sturdy, simple and tons of fun for the little ones. I have a 7 and 2 year old. Both love this tire swing. 4Heavy...but a good purchaseThis is a good product. It is a real tire. It is heavy and it is dirty. You need to wash it thoroughly before you hang it. The chains are heavy duty. The plastic coating on the lower portion is continuous and goes up high enough to prevent pinches to small hands even when the child fully extends her arms. I bought this for my 4 year old grand daughter. Again, it is heavy. Careful consideration should be given to the limb from which you intend to hang the tire. When you wash off the tire, you can easily find the top three holes intended for hanging. 5Just like childhood old way easier!Excellent tire swing! I am not a handy person and was able to assemble it with no issue even with my kids hopping around me in excitement. Love that it's a recycled tire, just like the old fashion swings. Hung it from a sturdy branch with a swivel and my kids have been playing with it almost non stop. Would highly recommend. 5Works well for a hanging chair tooWe had a basket chair hanging from the ceiling of our front porch. I had used a large eye bolt to attach the chair to a ceiling rafter. It became a favorite destination for reading a book, catching up on email, etc but after a short time, the wind and less observant swingers spin the chair and cause the eye bolt to unscrew itself from the ceiling. After several (unsuccessful) attempts to screw the eye bolt back into the ceiling more securely, I eventually removed the chair and stowed it in the attic.I saw this on Amazon one night, decided to try again and it worked! The chair now spins freely and stays put. Wish I'd done this a long time ago. 5Great hardware for hanging a tire swingWhen looking for tire swing hardware there was a huge price discrepancy. Either really cheap hardware you don't know if you can trust or commercial grade really expensive hardware you don't want to pay for. I was cautiously optimistic this hardware would work and I was blown away by the quality. Our tire swing has been used daily for a year and if anything this swivel is working better over time. No evident corrosion on the hardware in that time frame. 5Rough Balls = Rough RidePurchased this ball-pivot tire swing mount to hoist a beastly 255/80R22.5 138 tire. In total this swing is rated for about 1400 LBS on all the hardware (besides this thing, max weight not listed so not sure) so all these kids won't need to worry about how much they eat. In any case, 4 fully saturated american adults could squeeze onto this swing.Needless to say, spinning on the behemoth is a spastic jerking nightmare with even one athletic adult... The ball is clearly rough and catches on the housing which in turn gets the chains spinning on themselves. Once enough tension has built up the chains unwind in an instant and the ball finally pivots giving you a jerk no reach around could match.I will update the review if this seems to clear up over time as some other reviews have noted, but for now I am concerned that rough wear will weaken the housing to a point of failing. 3Good old fashion fun, well built and amazing fun. The kids love it and it has become the center of entertainment for the block.Ok so you might say, I can build one for less. Maybe you could however:My wife talked me into purchasing the tire swing already made up. Not that she doubt my ability to make one myself but I have enough stuff going on already so it would be on less thing on the "to do" list.Im glad I took her advice. This swing is well made, the tire is nice and clean. The hardware is really nice and will last a long time. The tire swing is really over engineered for strength. Your kids will not break it, exceed the weight limit etc..(if your child does exceed the weight limit you may want to get him or her to a doctor quickly)If i would make one suggestion to improve the swing it would only be that the seller take the extra time to fully assemble it. Not that it required much and really it is not much work. I just like it when I can take something right out of the box and hook it up and use it...we after all are the instantaneous gratification generations. 5Great - but make sure you get a grease gun and cartridge to keep it lubricatedI love this thing, and it does the job on our swing. Works well if you keep it greased, so you will also need to purchase a grease cartridge and a grease gun, both of which are inexpensive and can be purchased on Amazon. The nipple on the side of the joint is for attaching a grease gun coupling, and it is the only way to actually lubricate the whole internal mechanism. 5Durable!My child has a special swing that also bounces and spins. The swing is used multiple times a day and we have worn out our previous swing attachments due to metal fatigue. I finally found this item and was very pleased with the ball and joint design that allows for smooth swinging, bouncing, and spinning. Instead of metal rubbing constantly against metal, this attachment has a pocket design that I call the joint which comes packed with grease allowing for the ball part of the attachment to move freely inside it as my child swings and spins. I did buy a grease cartridge and grease gun for future maintenance to ensure the ball and joint are sufficiently greased. The attachment is also very heavy so be sure to install it carefully and properly in something sturdy. Ours is installed in a ceiling joist with long, heavy duty screws. 5Poor qualityI have bought this brand and built my kids outdoor swing set. I bought these for several applications. One was a 120 pound Muay Thai bag, and it works fine. The other two were for indoor swings. One is still in great shape but it looks different than these for some reason. So somewhere along the line I think Eastern Jungle sent me the wrong one, or it was a different style than these, I do not know but it is better quality whatever it was they sent me. The other one of these styles is pictured here. This is after 1 year and 1.5 months of use. I see that now they have dropped the price to less than half of what I paid for it since then. I imagine because they have been called out on the quality or something. I would try a different brand before buying this again. 1
