Bodacious MarikaI just got into buying these as collector items. I have to say that I am very impressed with the quality of these little figures. This one is fantastic, I am such a sucker for red heads. There are so many extra parts that come with and there are some small pieces, so be carefull not to loose them. I did decided to remove her from the box and put her on display. You will have to use the magnet attachment to display her. Mine was purchased from Roberts Anime Corner, she came well packaged and the box was in excellent condition. The good smile nendoroids are all excellently painted and are worth every penny . 5A beautiful product to own-with some informing.tl;dr: Great product, very enjoyable, deal with her magnetic stand.Firstly, for those who are unfamiliar with the Nendoroid products: they are chibi-styled figurines with movable and replaceable parts produced by Good Smile, which specializes in posed and action figurines of generally anime/video game characters. Their high quality and detailed work matches their higher prices (although this one, Marika, is fairly priced; you can look up the 400+ others online). Note that they're designed for careful, mature consumers, not children. Additionally, as these are produced in Japan, oversea/online shoppers should beware of counterfeit goods.When it comes to Marika, I am immensely pleased. Her overall quality is spectacular; probably the only faults you'll see with Nendos will vary in individuals, such as rough edges or loose joints (which mine has). Pieces such as the faces shouldn't have any flaws due to the way they're printed. Each piece is beautiful and her articulation is excellent; there is a lot of freedom to how you pose Marika.To give some quantitative analysis, she can reach a length of ~10 cm and has a pirate hat to boost that, and has a square base measuring about 5-6 cm length x width, but equipping accessories could change Marika's dimensions. Counting parts, she has three face plates (three different emotions), hair (two pieces, plus an optional stray strand removed when the hat is used), a pirate hat (the white and red parts of it are removable), an upper body, and a below-waist body, which is what I'm calling the lower section of her outfit, the hindquarters (which are not revealing), and legs; all which can be separated. Three separate legs allow Marika two straight legs or a bent left one. She gets a standard cape or one that appears as if she's holding an edge of it, both which plug into her back shoulders. And a multitude of separable hands and arms: ~4 arms per side, and about that amount of hands, which allow Marika to point (right), spread her palms, hold her sword, or her gun (right). Obviously, she comes with her gun (surprised me by it's thinness) and her sword-displayed either in her hand, with sheath on her side, or a separate sword-in-sheath piece on her side (meaning you could display Marika with two swords at once).These were all items in the product images, but they leave out the stand, which is a translucent plastic square and a bendable joint that plugs into one of multiple holes in the square's face. Marika's hair conceals a magnet which corresponds with the joint's and allows her to LOOK as if she's standing or floating; generally Nendo's cannot stand because of their weight displacement.WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE is that this magnet setup can cause damage to the hair over time, but fortunately it's simple to cover up the joint's magnet with tissue or so. Other Nendoroids as I'm aware of don't have magnetic stands. As a small note, Marika's stand will say it's made in China.Finally, there's the concern of whether you'll purchase a bootleg or not, so make sure to scout around the web before trusting a seller. I used Robert's Anime Corner; they have their own website and have good reviews by other consumers. My Nendo arrived in a slightly worn box, but otherwise in great condition.In all, if you want a Nendoroid, and enjoy the look and feel of this one, rest assured this will be a great purchase. I can't say much for those familiar with Marika's character from the manga/anime, although she seems capable of making an accurate representation. 5Worth itShe just came in yesterday and she is a keeper. The condition of the box was a bit beat up but none of the pieces were damaged. She is a little heavier than my other nendos but the magnet is strong enough to keep her in place. The magnet gets in the way of her huge hat though. She comes with alot of cool pieces and her shoulder pads are flexible to move into different positions.It is a must have if you like pirates and nendos. 59/11 planesFantastic maybe my favorite nendo 5Bodacious Space Pirates, Marika Katou, figure by GSCA fine little "nendoroid" figure, with multiple alternate components (faces and arms, weapons). I'm not usually interested in nendoroid figures, but it's the only larger figure I've found for this character. At least it nicely captures the look and facial expressions of Marika, and does a fine job with her elaborate pirate costume. 4Awesome.A pirate nendoroid. Awesome. 5
