the easel is really just a box and a separate lid that does not attachended up returning this - i wish the whole "easel" would have been an actual easel, where the lid was attached to the base and you could swivel it up and down as needed. Instead it is just a simple box with a loose lid that has no way of attaching together or staying together. it wouldn't have worked for my 3yo. I ended up just buying a small dry-erase board and that has worked fine with the magnets we already have. 2Nice, but don't give it to infants.When I received it, I first played it myself for a while long time. It s so fun!Great toy for children too. An elephant, a lion, a bear, a zebra, a crocodile, a horse and a giraffe, etc. are made in such a way that a child can collect a famous and recognizable animal or create a new, unknown, miracle beast. My daughter likes to think up and tell the story of this wonder animal. And you always can draw some extra parts right on board if needed.Also it can be used in travels. In general, this toy - a powerful entertainment for children and parents. Are you seeking a portable toy that will engage your little one for hours while traveling? If so, the "Lewo Wooden Educational Toys Magnetic Art Easel Animals Puzzle Games for Kids" is almost perfect!The multiple magnetic pieces can be combined to form the animals and figures pictures in a small booklet that Lewo includes in the package - or a child can combine the pieces into wildly imaginative animal forms. My three-year old granddaughter did this and laughed continuously at her creations - as did grandma. A black dry-erase pen having a small eraser top is included for use on the whiteboard. A larger, separate eraser and a two-ended dry-erase would have been more useful. An eraser and three pieces of chalk - two blue and one peach were included for use on the chalkboard; three different colors of chalk would have been nice.The box and whiteboard frame are a softer wood; the edges are sharp and, if a child runs their fingers over the edge, may cause a cut or splinter. I would have been happy to pay a bit more to have the box and frame constructed of plastic. The combination whiteboard and chalkboard top fits into the bottom to form the toy's lid. It sits on a frame rather than sliding into a groove that, if a child turns the toy upside down, would prevent it from falling off and having all the pieces fall to the floor.Regardless of my desired changes in the construction of this toy, the "Lewo Wooden Educational Toys Magnetic Art Easel Animals Puzzle Games for Kids" was a big hit with my granddaughter. I am sure it will be the first thing she wants to play with the next time she comes to visit. Five-stars! 5Horrible & Children are UpsetLooked so unique and like so much fun. Unfortunately, the box, writing board, and magnets were present (as shown in the picture) but the company placed a black board marker in the box. The entire box is made out of very light wood and the writing board is white. No matter how careful one is and or the child; the black color will stain the box and ruin the beautiful inviting box. Also what is horrible that only after 3x playing with this Educational Art Easel; the white board was wiggling and the film on top of the board came lose. I bought 2 of the Easels (both for my grandbabies) and they both broke after only playing with them for about 2-3 times. Can not be a coincidence because I independently played with each of my babies and it happened with both of them. In addition, I was present to guide them; thus, the company can not say that the children were too rough with the Educational Easel. 1This is made with good quality. We all played with it and had a great time. I don't think they could have done it without me. It was a great teaching tool. My 4 year old could play by herself with it if I lay all the pieces out for her. It comes with a book that as a picture of different things you can build with the pieces. He collects them from all over and any time we walk into a store we usually leave with at least one more magnet for his collection. I saw this magnet board and I immediately wanted to purchase it for him because it solves one of our biggest issues... storage!Upon opening the box, I realized that the board was quite a bit smaller than expected but that doesn't really matter to us. It opens and closes easily, the magnets it came with are cute and sturdy, the chalk board works great, and the storage is fantastic. The only issue we found is that the chalk board and dry erase side tend to leave residue quite heavily after erasing but it's nothing that some water can't help with just be careful not to use too much!Overall we like this magnetic board with storage along with the drawing boards. First of all, I want to say I didn't expect much from this $13 Lewo wooden educational toy because it is cheaper than any other toys. The toy comes in a very cute purple box, and it made from natural wood which make it looks expensive and high quality. Lewo wooden educational toy contains a tray that full of tons of colorful wooden magnetic blocks, two side lids-white board and black board, three chalks, an eraser fir the chalks, a dry erase marker with an eraser on the cap, a very useful booklet. I gave this toy to my son on the road trip to California because I need something to keep him entertained and busy. It did not disappoint me, my son spent hours drawing, writing, and putting different shape of block to create fun story. Moreover, I use this fun toy a lot while reading stories to my kids, I draw pictures along with my reading and they really love it. I would recommend this Lewo wooden educational toy to any mom because it is a great toy that offers many activities with very reasonable price. 5Great simple toyMy daughter makes up stories about the magnet animals which is not only impressive but I'm thankful for toys like this that inspire her imagination to soar instead of being stuck on a phone or tablet.
