    Good Lanky CatThis is a weird looking cat... but that's not a bad thing. It's definitely "lanky" looking, which gives it a unique, fun angle on what would otherwise be a stuff black cat.It seems to be made as well as any other stuff toy would be, so it would definitely be durable for awhile if you have a kid that's a little rough with the toy.Probably the biggest thing to worry about with younger kids is if the eyes of the toy would pop off and pose a choking hazard. I tested it out to see if the eyes would likely come off and I was pleased to see that the eyes seemed well attached. I'm not saying they'd never come off, but at least it's much less of a worry. I'm also not sure if they are somehow glued on or actually sewn on (probably the latter). 5His eyes follow you everywhere!Ziggy is tiny a little bigger than the palm of your hand but looks just like the cat from the movie. He's currently holding the key to a half-door at our house as part of a little joke display for my brother (he's avoided tiny doors since watching Coraline). The cat's eyes are rounded in a way to make it seem like his eyes follow you in the near dark... my daughter put a hat on him a few times because the eyes were too realistic.He's perfect! (Although I do wish he were larger.) 5The perfect cat prop for Coraline Jones and Wybie Lovat cosplay!We purchased this cat to complete my son's Coraline Wybie Lovat costume for Halloween this year. This little cat is the closest stuffed cat on the market that resembles the cat from Coraline, except these cat's eyes are yellow and not blue like in the movie. I searched high and low for a cat with blue eyes that looked just like this one to no avail, so this one from Manhattan Toy Company is an excellent substitute. I will say it's rather small and really thin, but that works in our favor since my son is only 3yrs old and this cat will lounge on his shoulder.What we like most about it is that no matter what direction you are looking at the cat, it's eyes really do seem to follow you, which is pretty cool or creepy depending how you feel about such things. It will definitely add to my son's overall costume! And while small, the quality is there, this is a well made stuffed toy that was made to last many years of play.Overall we are really happy with our purchase and will post a pic of my son with this cat when his costume is complete. I highly recommend this purchase for both those who love and collect stuffed cat toys as well as a great prop for Coraline cosplay too! 5Cute! (Like my Jenna)Cute!I thought it would be a little bit bigger, but the size is posted. If you lay it on a flat surface, you can't really see the face as well as the head is somewhat down. And so I have its feet draped over the back of the couch and its front paws and head hanging over the top. I have a cat, "Jenna", who looks much like this cat: black with lime eyes, though Jenna has a bunch of fluffy hair.Let me also say that this is one of the two quickest deliveries I've ever received from Amazon for an order that wasn't available for Prime delivery. It reached my home from halfway across the country in only two days. I couldn't believe it when it arrived so quickly. Impressive! 4I'm in love! Extra cute!Okay I must be honest. I bought this for my grandchild, but when I got it I fell in love with it and kept it for myself! Hey I'm a grown-up kid what can I say! It's adorable! I love the eye lids and the darling long lanky legs and paws. He even has pawpads! If I wasn't too embarrassed in front of my husband, I would cuddle this little guy at bedtime! If you love cats this is a darling little collectable stuffed animal. 5Great surprise gift!My wife got news one evening that a stepsibling suddenly died. She was shaken by this news and quite sad and distressed. This little kitty arrived the next day while I was at work to help her through this hard time. He is very soft and has very expressive eyes. Great cat for the money. 5Great Stuffed Animal...I Bought Three!I bought this for my mom who loves cats but lives in a nursing home where she is not allowed a real cat. My mom loved it and it has place of honor in her room. I loved it too and bought one for myself. I am a teacher and I showed the cat to my students. One of my favorite students so loved it that I bought her one too. The smile on her face when I gave it to her made my day. This is really an adorable stuffed animal. 5In a First, I actually thought it was Cuter then My duaghter did...So this year, my daughter gave me a very short list. So I bought her a few surprises, some came from Amazon, some did not. This was one of the Amazon surprises. I looked at it and thought she would totally fall in love with that face. To even my feline jaded heart it looks super cute. For her, she felt like the ears came looking very down, which made the cat look sad. I told her the one she got looked more sour and grumpy (the one shown online looks more pleading and wistful to me), but since she seems to love the snarky kitties, maybe that could be ok to? I gave her the option of returning it, because I could tell it wasn't pinging a 5 star toy on her happiness meter, but she said she wanted to keep it. So I think for her, it's a 4 star toy. I just don't want to ask her, because I know she'll feel torn and not want to say that to my face.The ears on ours are slightly more down then the one in the picture, and I think for her that's the thing that had her feeling it looked more sad. But my Jedi mind tricks seemed to have convinced her Ziggy's sarcastic and not sad, but she did give this one a new name. I am certain she likes it enough not to return it because when I asked her if she was sure she told me to stop pressuring her to return it, she totally wanted it. So, this one was a little bit of a misfire, but she still liked it enough to keep it.For ours, the seams appear fine so far as I can tell, there are no other deformities that I can find, and I totally like the pads on the paws, they are gray, and in this cloth that has a suede like texture, and I thought it gave the kitty more visual interest. And she mentioned that she likes the fact that the way it's shaped allowed it to ride on her shoulder, and we joked about how this kitty might be able to out-sour Catzilla and give him the stink eye every time he decided to drop his kitty poop grenades on our floor. If only that would really serve as a deterrent...so I dub this to be my favorite kind of kitty, the stuffed kind, that has the appearance of being snarky or sad without the actual physical evidence of it's displeasure showing up underfoot. 5Not what I expectedThis cat looks like it wants to murder you and eat your soul. I suppose that makes him more realistic? This was supposed to be a cute gift for my 4 year old son. He is obsessed with Pete the cat and the cute kitty in the picture has a very Pete the cat esque looking eyes. (You know, like he s high.) Instead I received a bat like goblin demon cat with eyes that stare into your very soul and clearly wants to possess you. It is a very soft and evil little thing. I may save it as a gift for one of my goth friends, but will be keeping it far from my sweet four year old. I m afraid he might feed him after midnight and all hell will break lose... 3For My Cancer KittyI guess I didn't understand that when an item says 14 inches and its a "Lanky" cat, that in actuality it will be about 8 inches and very little stuffing. I bought it for my 14 year old 4 lb cat who is dying of cancer and is a twin of this cat. She is home to spend time with us until its time to say goodbye, and I wanted to give her this cat to snuggle with. My cat is very tiny but this cat is much smaller than expected, I guess I didn't realize it would not only be smaller, but also very skinny so not much to snuggle with. But my Baby Girl has a buddy and we'll have this Lanky cat to remember her by. I'm deducting one star for the lack of full disclosure on true size, and because in the photo they made sure the head blocked the view of the skinny parts.
