Great for showing relationship of 3 numbers!These have been great for my 3rd grader to learn his multiplication facts. He and his sister in first grade have actually been getting these out for fun this past week. I love how it shows the relationship between three numbers, which will make it easier to learn division. The little notch at the bottom of the triangles make it easy to hold the card as I am flipping through them to ask my son the facts. to work on multiplication I just pull the front card up so that the bottom 2 numbers can be seen, but the top number, which is the answer for the multiplication, is still hidden. 5Love using these with my 8 year old! Durable high quality cards.These are a fun way to review. though my daughter does some games online to strengthen her math skills, we like to make a variety of reviews in our homeschool. I set small counting bears in a path along the floor and she answers the facts and collects the bears until she gets to the prize box. Much more fun than the boring flash card drill I had as a child. And she gets to move a about a bit. The cards are tough and will last a long time. They can be used for division or multiplication. 5ONE CARD, 4 FACTS! And a lot of FUN & LEARNING!The NOTCH at the bottom, which no other brand has, make these three-corner flash cards the quickest, easiest cards for anyone to use. When these cards are dropped, because of the notch, it takes no time at all to gather them into a pile that is ready to use. Also, the colors are really bold and bright. The products are one color and the factors another color. As a classroom teacher, I have tried cheaper brands and even making my own, but no longer. I had several questions that the owner personally addressed. As a 5am runner (in a town that isn t big on street lights or sidewalks) I needed something that made the world less pitch black-ish. Without Knuckle Lights, I would not be able to run in my area. I love that they are bright enough to stop someone or something from coming directly toward you (my runner friends are not a fan of when I talk with my hands while wearing them bc they are BRIGHT) but they are lightweight, shine a wide path ahead, and are easy to carry. Fabulous excellent amazing product. Just buy them. 5Superior to traditional flash cardsThis set does several things as it teaches basic math skills. One is that it resembles more of a "game" than traditional flash cards. More fundamental, it helps the student understand the relationship between basic math steps almost automatically...showing that multiplying 2 numbers has a relationship to dividing those 2 numbers, and to an alert student, both show the underlying principle of adding and subtracting as a basic function that is facilitated by multiplication and division instead of repeated addition and subtraction. I think this is a unique great learning tool 5Perfect for on the go practice of math facts!We love these! So easy to just toss in my bag for a fun game of multiplication or division review on the go. The only card that we ve come across that seems to yield some questioning as to its usefulness is the card that has two zeros and a 1. 1x0 equals 0. And 0 divided by 1 equals 0. But 0 divided by 0 isn t 1. It s undefined. If you stick that problem into a calculator, you will get an error. So other than that one card, this set is great! Still worth the 5 stars because of the great sizing of the cards and reusable packaging that makes it easy to take with you on trips and car rides. 5LOVE these flash cards, FUN! and lots of possibilities!I love these flash cards. I almost didn't get them cause the idea was a new concept to me and I wasn't convinced. They work out really well and are actually a bit fun to use. The little notch in the middle is genius and allows you to hold the cards in your hand steadily while covering either corner. There are so many possibilities we actually don't drill them all in one day! It takes 4 days to drill the complete set for us. The case is sturdy enough too. 5Different from any other flashcard we saw -- and much better!The great thing about these triangular flashcards is that they teachyou the number family -- how three numbers are related to one anotherin multiplication and division. You can cover a corner and quiz yourself butwe bought these so our daughter would learn the families.They are also colored coded so that if you look at the two same colored numbers, youmultiply them. Two different colors, you divide the smaller number into the larger number.The turning of the cards adds another element to the learning process. Very good forstudents with math learning disabilities or kids who struggle with conventional memorizing the tablesand traditional "quiz style" flashcards.Also, I like that the reinforce the correct answer instead of leaving kids to "guess and check." 5uniqueI play a game with a 9 year old friend that visits me. For every one he guesses right he gets a penny. For everyone he misses he has to give me one back. For about 25 cents his interest is stimulated enough to go through the entire deck. Once he cleans me out on the multiplication we will probably progress to the division. I never use the term "flash cards" so he doesn't realize my primary motive is not the game but the lesson. He loves the thought of cleaning out my bank account lol. and has asked several times to play. I give him all the time he needs to come up with the right answer, fingers, toes etc are acceptable since we are just playing. He has teachers, parents and grandparents to teach him. 5Easy to use and recommended by teachers!This is listed as a toy, but you are undoubtedly aware it is an educational tool. I recently attended conferences for my twin 10 year-olds (fourth graders) and both their teachers mentioned they need improvement on their multiplication facts. The reason is that in third grade they were taught only that multiplication is the same as serial adding and they were never taught their multiplication tables. I was very irritated by this last year and had them work on memorizing the tables anyway, but over they summer much of that disappeared. However, my son's teacher said to try flash cards and mentioned these specific ones and now I see why! They not only teach them multiplication (just cover the top number with your hand) but also division (cover either of the bottom numbers with your hand)! And when you do each of the corners at the same time, it reinforces the link between multiplication and division, how the three numbers are linked in both directions. There are probably more high-tech ways to learn this stuff...heck, I love technology...but sometimes something simple and inexpensive can work just as well and this is one of those cases. 5
