Description

  • A FUN INTRODUCTION TO PUZZLES - These two-piece puzzles are an ideal introduction to jigsaw puzzles; keeping it fun and simple. My First Match It! is designed to provide the right level of challenge; you can begin by offering just two corresponding pieces and then increase the challenge level by offering more pieces to choose from as they master it.
  • INTRODUCE KEY PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS - These puzzles are an ideal way to help your child develop basic understanding of how to solve simple problems, and the colorful illustrations provide an instant reward for every problem solved!
  • IMPROVE CONCENTRATION & FOCUS - Puzzles are a great way of gradually improving your child's ability to focus on a task. The self-correcting puzzles mean that the child quickly understands that only one piece will fit with any other, and this is a big motivation to seek it out, keeping concentration for longer.
  • ENCOURAGE LANGUAGE SKILLS - The theme of the puzzle - All My Toys - is designed to get your child talking and discussing the images they are creating as they put the puzzle together. From simply naming the toys to chatting about them and talking about their own toys, you encourage language and conversational skills.
  • BOOST SELF-ESTEEM & CONFIDENCE - Putting the puzzle together successfully provides a big boost to a child's confidence, especially when rewarded with praise! The puzzles are self-correcting, so your child cannot get it 'wrong' by slotting together two pieces that don't match. No disappointment - every effort is rewarded.

Customer Reviews

Don't stay together well, cute but wouldn't purchase again.I was excited about getting these puzzles and my son seemed to love playing with them at a friends house. After I purchased them I was a little disappointed that they don't stay together. Once you put the pieces together you can't move it or pick it up without it falling apart. The quality isn't the greatest and he didn't play with them for long. Too bad because its a great puzzle for toddlers. 3Fun and educationalI love these for my son! These are much better quality than many of the other similar products I have seen, the printing quality is very nice and the cardboard is firm and thick ensuring that they are both durable and easy to put together. While each pair is pretty easy to put together, it still poses a challenge to find the right pairs to put together. I can see my son's concentration on his face while he looks for the right cards. He has even taken to using his finger or his flashlight to look for the right piece, it's very cute to see. When he gets a little older I can see using this like a memory game putting the pieces face down and trying to find pairs from memory. This has also been good for his language development as he says each items name while he looks for it. I highly recommend this skill building product. 5Best money spent on a toy!Best money I've ever spent on a toy!! My 4 yr old struggles with jigsaw puzzles but always did so well with the peg puzzles. In trying to transition him, I stumbled across these heads and tails puzzles. He immediately sat down and excitedly put them all together. It is his new favorite thing to do and it makes me so happy to see him be proud of himself. The pieces are sturdy and the pictures are so adorable. There is a different color shadow under each picture, so even if your child hasn't seen a certain animal before and is unsure what the tail would look like, the shadows will match (along with the colors of the animals, but for some reason my son loves the shadows!). I love this company and will be buying more of their puzzles! 5I thought it would be a great fit. I was rightMy son just turned two and has been really into matching things and trying to do puzzles. Puzzles are a little too hard for him right now, though. So when I saw this, I thought it would be a great fit. I was right! He loves finding the pieces that go together and he is able to put them together himself. He is so proud when he makes a match. There are a lot of cards so right now I take out maybe 4 foods at a time and mix them up and give them to him. Then he finds a match and fits them together and I take them, gently, and stack them in a pile and bring out 4 more. I don't have a problem with the pieces coming apart if I move them gently. I love seeing how proud he is when he puts the matching pieces together. 5Love it for under 2 year old kidsI bought this for my 18 month old who is lately into puzzles. Its made of thick cardboard and good quality. My son loves it . We just dump all 15 pictures (30 pieces) on the floor and my son has no problem finding two matching pieces and put them together. The only frustrating part for him is that the pictures fall apart when he tries to pick them up and carry across the room to show me what he put together. But again if they were tight enough to stay together when picked up, it would take a lot of force fro the small child to fit two pieces into each other. Overall I like it, however I do think he will outgrow it in a few of months as it's already pretty easy for him . So I would disagree with the recommended age of 2+. 4Great teaching tool and lots of funI got these for my 20 month old and although he's a little young for them if I only get him three dinos at a time he can pretty much do them all. I love that he can not do them wrong it really helps me teach him things like matching and colors. I will have all different colors on the table apart and pick up one piece and ask him for the matching color. He is learing quickly with these. 5Great little puzzle for 2 year olds! Helps build self-confidence!We bought this for our 22 month old son because he would watch his older siblings solve more complicated puzzles but when he would try to 'help' he would obviously not be able to put them together without any help and that would make him feel very frustrated & upset. These simple & easy 2-piece puzzles have really helped boost his self-esteem - they are just the right size for his little hands to hold and when he presses down on them they easily snap in place unlike other ones he had to struggle with all the time! There are 15 puzzles in the box - each square puzzle is about 5inches by 5 inches and 1/10th of an inch in thickness - made of some thick cardboard like material - the colors are very vibrant & they have stood up to the roughest of treatments .... We also have the jumbo floor puzzle by Melissa and Dough but my kids somehow managed to tear that one up in some spots over time ... these ones, on the other hand, have remained in really good shape even after some very rough handling - So, overall we are very pleased with our purchase and do intend to buy other ones from the same brand in the future. My 2 yr old son, no doubt, loves them - the ease with which he can now 'solve' these puzzles in (all by himself) makes him feel like a 'big boy' and a 'champion' & the smile that brings to his face is just priceless! Highly recommend. 5Half are junk foodPersonal pet piece here, but it's not all fruits and veggies: it has hamburgers, hot dogs and roast chicken, as well as ice cream and cupcakes. As you know, toddlers want what they see so we hardly use it. Good quality product but he prefers the animal one. 3Neat-oWanted to find a puzzle for my toddler because I love puzzles and because the simple board ones she has she had finally started mastering, so I looked for small puzzles with pieces that actually connect to each other. I came across this in my search and tried it on a whim. I am now a big fan. My daughter was about 20 months when I first pulled it out and she really struggled at figuring how to link the pieces together but within a couple time of playing she got the concept and quickly started really loving these. It definitely has helped her fine motor skills as she works to connect the two parts she knows match. We were also able to use them to talk about colors and sounds. Now at 2 she is a total pro at putting them together and still enjoys pulling them out during some quiet playtime. They are really sturdy and big so they've held up well and don't pose a choking hazard. Plus it's nice not having to search for a bunch of small pieces on the floor if they're dropped. Two pieces per animal puzzle was exactly what we needed to transition her into completing real puzzles and these worked out great. I'd highly recommend for a young toddler and would definitely buy again even at full price. 5Nice setProduct was as expected and cards are large and thick enough for small hands. Colors very bright and puzzle pieces fit together easily. 5
