Customer Reviews

Five Stars This is defiantly a must. Get it you won't regret it. I have a video. It holds up to big jumps. 5Worth it.Its traxxas, nice and pretty easy to install other than tiny c clips that are tedious, rather the thru pin with threads like OEM stock plastic ones but this works. 5Old Truck, New LookI kept bending king pins with the stock caster blocks. They seemed to bend without even crashing. The caster blocks were the original from 2006, maybe they weren't very strong anymore. I decided to go with these Traxxas aluminum caster blocks to hopefully bend less king pins and tighten up the front end. I haven't crashed really since I put them on but they do look really good. 5Not only do these look 100% better than stockI broke the stock plastic caster blocks while running my slash in a dirt lot. Instead of going back to stock plastic, I figured these aluminum blocks would be a solid upgrade and I wasn't wrong. Not only do these look 100% better than stock, but are much more solid and durable. Just do some research and make sure you don't overload your truck with aluminum parts, as running aluminum on aluminum can cause other weak points and could lead to breaking other parts. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend these for a solid, inexpensive upgrade. 5Looks greatBeautiful as described. I ordered the front carriers and it was a really tight fit. Not sure if it was the atomic brand or which one would have caused it to become extremely tight. I took a dremel and sanded the carrier a little and perfect fit with just enough play to move freely. 5Good upgrade - one of the few parts that is better in aluminum than plastic. After breaking many of the plastic caster blocks and bending the pins, I upgraded to aluminum. This upgrade may cause other parts to break. I didn't think you would see these when driving but you actually do see them from time to time when turning. There are few parts I would recommend buying that are made of aluminum. This is definitely one of them. The Traxxas aluminum steering set if another. The bearing carriers could be aluminum but I have had good luck with RPM plastic bearing carriers. It seems that the parts that Traxxas makes in aluminum are the good upgrades. I would never put on an aluminum bumper for example. The flexible plastic bumpers are great.Since upgrading these caster blocks to aluminum, I haven't had to replace one or the pins. 5Must-have replacement part for Traxxas vehiclesThese aluminum caster blocks replace the cheap plastic ones that come stock on Traxxas models such as the Stampede. The caster blocks and pin receive most of the force when the vehicle impacts a curb, which explains why the original plastic parts quickly end up warped or bent with the pin knocked out of position etc. My son and I installed these replacements in just a few minutes, and they make the vehicle a lot more resilient to crashes. Traxxas really ought to include these as standard equipment. 5Another necessary upgradeLook cool perfect fit and one of the first upgrades that you should make on your Traxxas Stampede because the nylon ones that are stock on the truck will snap very easily if you land wrong or accidentally hit something like a bump worth the price easy to install and they look cool 5Great upgrade!Highly recommend replacing the stock plastic caster blocks with these. I like the mounting hardware for the steering blocks that comes with these too; instead of those annoying e-clips that hold the rod on, these are threaded from the bottom with an allen head. 5Fit really well and are strongerI broke a bunch of the stock caster blocks in various crashes so I decided to upgrade to these. These look great (especially if you get the aluminum steering knuckles also). They've survived a bunch of crashes so far with no problems.I should note that I didn't use the supplied screw pins. After reading about others having them vibrate out (despite using locktite) I decided to go with the stock pins and e-clips. They're a pain to put in but I think they're worth it. 5
