Seems like funMy almost five year old son saw commercials for this toy and was going nuts about it, asking for it SO much. While he already knows his colors, I thought it would help reinforce them and matching, since the goal of the game is to race around, matching up the color that it shows to the colored bases around the room. As most little kids, especially boys, do, my son loves to run around and is like the Energizer Bunny! This toy seemed like it would be a good fit for that since it would give him something to do with all that energy, because it requires you to run around to all the different colored bases that you set up around the room. Not only that, but it'll help provide a goal to his running around. This seems to keep him interested, help give him something to do with all his energy, and works for individual or group play, since he can do this by himself, or we or his friends can take turns playing this game together. And it's not the same game every time, since you can set up the colored bases in different spots each time, which keeps it interesting and different since you can switch it up. The only downside is that the one that I ordered did have damage to the package when it arrived. It comes in a clear plastic case/box, with a cardboard or papery sleeve (that has the pictures/design) over part of it. That cardboard-ish papery sleeve was ripped so part of it fell off in the box, so the name of the game and picture was ripped in half basically. Which didn't bother me too much, since it was going to get opened and thrown away anyways, but for showing it to a child while still packaged or for giving as a present, I could see it being disappointing/an issue. 4Two purchases. Two duds.After seeing the cute commercial for this my grandson was so excited to get it. After about an hour, the trigger on the wand jammed in. There was no way to fix it. Instead of returning,we got a second one at Kmart. After about an hour the thing on the bottom of the wand that reads the colors in the cups stopped working. So it never registered when you were correct. So disappointed. Good concept of a game to get kids up and moving. But definitely has some design flaws. Don't buy until you see the words "New and Improved" on the package. 1Great birthday toy and sport practice tool. Best birthday toy. Spent around $10 for this and he loves it. Used it at basketball practice also and will be taking it to baseball practice also. Different modes to keep the challenges fun. Added bonus inside running time during Illinois winters. 5Hmmmm.... DisappointedI ordered 2 of these Ultra Dash products. They arrived together, in the same box. However, one of them was only in the clear plastic packaging hold together by one piece of tape. No label, and no instructions. I do not see how I can give this as a gift!!! 1Can't see the lights if outside In the sun!Major downside, can't see the lights' color if playing out in the yard! This is a fun game, but I would prefer to send the kids outside to play! 3This is a game that all different ages can play ...This is a game that all different ages can play. I had a 3 year old, a 7 year old and a 6 year old dashing around my house to find the different colors that were in the doorways of each room. The three year old was so serious in trying to find the colors. Problem: after they left I could only find 4 of the bottoms and you need all 5 to play the game. The 3 year old hid one in a closet where I eventually found it. 4Great way for the family to be active and involved ...Great way for the family to be active and involved with each other inside or out of the house instead of watching television. It has several different game options - you can time each other too see who can dash the fastest, run relays, etc. Anything that gets the kids moving in my book is great. Only 4 of 5 stars because getting the sticks to fit and then register into the bases can be difficult until you get the hang of it. I did order 3 of these and had to return several because the product packaging was damaged in shipment. The cardboard sleeve rips in two making it less than idea for gift giving. Redesign the package cardboard sleeve for durability during shipment and it would be perfect. 4Faulty twice. Do not recommend.The first product we got had corroded batteries so it would not stay turned on. Customer service was easy and they let me keep the old one while quickly shipping me a new one to for free. This one turn on fine but will not read the purple color. So anytime the purple shows up the game will not proceed. We have tries many various ways. The only way that works is to find the right combo to press with your fingers, which defeats the purpose of doing your beat speed or my kids being able to do it on their own. I would not recommend this after 2 faulty products in a row. 1Kids love this game.I bought this Ultra Dash for my adult son to use when his Boy Scout troop needs to burn energy. We tested it on my grandchildren, and it was a huge success. Four children, ages 4 to 11, ran and laughed for an hour without any quarreling, and were sad when they had to stop playing to go home. The game can be played in several ways, by one to many players, either sitting quietly or moving around. I've bought a second Ultra Dash to allow even more versatility in large group play. This is a fun toy ~ and I notice that adults enjoy it, too. 5
